Jame raised an eyebrow, growing annoyed with her sudden behavior. "What the hell is wrong with you, Lydia?" He snapped, glaring.

"I don't know potter. Maybe I got sick of ball the secrets I have and the stress of keeping them are finally getting to me." she says. "Do you even know my last name?"

He snorted. "It's unhealthy to keep secretes bottled in..."

He glared, he was finally snapping after all this. He had tried, but would bother being polite nay more. He'd let his true colors shine, like he did to all the ordiary people, not his friends.

"Don't know your last name...I right now I dont care anymore."

"Good. Well, Luciuswas right. You give up to easily." she whispered not looking up she pulled out a letter from her pocket. Sitting back down she began to write.

James laughed out, a cold laugh.

"Malfoy? How'd that git know about me? Unless he's stalking me...and Lydia, I dont give up easily. Just in your case. Good luck with the vampires, Lydia," He muttered, but regretted his coldness.

"You do realise you're talking to a Malfoy." she muttered just before he was out of earshot. She knew he probably didn't catch it.

James looked up. "Did I just hear Malfoy? While I'll be damned!" He said, snorting. "Well you didn't act like one when we first met, I guess that's why I became your friend. But now I guess it was a mistake, Ly- no....Malfoy." He said, sneering.

Lydia bit back the urge to yell evil." she muttered. "You really didn't want to be my friends. You just felt sorry for me because I was quiet and had no friends." all this said calmly and cooly.

He shook his head laughing. "No, you dont know? I usually dont make friends with people I just met. I liked you, you seemed ok." He said, trying to control his anger. "And I even helped you get yourself a boyfriend. If you dont want to be my friend, that's just fine." He said, but would miss her.

Lydia looked at the floor. All arrogance and coldness gone. "I want to be your friend, James." She whispered. "And I am greatful for you getting me and Remus together."

BAM!
Students were fighting in the Hall.

Lydia jumped up hoping it wasn't her cousin. She ran out of the common room and into the hallway. "What's going on?"

"This stuupid git hit me over the head!" said a Ravenclaw first year.
Beside him was smirking-Severus Snape.
"I bring word, from your cousin, Lucius. He wishes not to come here.......you are declared his enemy, Lydia." said Snape glaring.
"Here, a letter." said he thrusting a letter into her hands.

Lydia sighs. "thanks Severus." she told him as she opened the letter. She wondered what she had doneto tick him off.

"It says the basics: Why are you a failure, in Gryffindor? Blah, blah, blah." said Snape flushing.
"Ah, don't listen to their remarks. Good bye." said he runing down the Hall.

Lydia sighed. Great. her cousin was pissed. "Sevvy wait." she yelled after him making the other students stare after her in shock.

Oh great, thought Snape turning.
"Yes?"

Lydia looked at him. "Is Lucius that p!ssed off? I mean how bad is it?" she said finally catching up to him.

"Well," said Snape, "I'm not a part of your family, but, from the letter, and the family you have here, it's like you've been well: "disowned"."

Lydia hung her head. "Great. Lost my cousin and my only gryffindor friends. What else could I scew up." she slumping to the floor.
