Cassie lit a light as she fumbled around in the dark. Owls hooted overhead and she dropped her candle. The chilly night air unlit it and she cursed softly. "Great," she muttered.

Hurrying out of the owlery she bumped into Potter. "What is it, Potter?" Cassie looked at him from the top of the steps. "Evans is in the common room if its prefect duty and so is Remus. I hope that helps."

Lydia sneered when she saw Cassie. "Hmmm, figure, That's what everything revolves around with you." she muttered to the other girl before calmly sauntering back to the GCR. Once inside she sighed in relief. "what a jerk"

Cassie shook her head. "Potter's doing prefect duty? Shouldn't he tell the others?"

"Lets see. If Jupiter's spinning at a rate of five miles an hour then that means. . .no. That's not right. Someone can't work at the Ministry as a cow. This figuring doesn't mkae sense," Evans whispered softly to herself. She tapped her quill lightly on a neraby table. Her homework was draped around her in the common room.

Lydia sighed. SHe looked around for Remus. She had to tell him.

James smirked. "Back to the common room, Casey was it?" He said. "They should know anyway. Now go," He ordered.

James entered the DADA classroom to find the other prefects and head boys and girls. He yawned. It seemed the professor wasn't here yet. ":Figures," He muttered, rumpling his hair and sitting on a dest.

Ohfman entered immediately.
He was followed by none other than-
"Students, arise. This is a new Slytherin Prefect, named Severus Snape. He will be joining us."

Lily quickly wrote an answer to the most confusing planet movement problem she ever did. "Oh great," muttered Evans as she checked her wtach. "Going to be late again."

James smirked. "Snivelly..." He breathed with fake smile. He didn't stand however. And hardly anyone did, only a small handful of people did.

Evans burst in breathing heavily. "Sorry I'm late-" Seeing Snape she stopped dead in her tracks.

James almost burst out laughing at lily, seeing her expression when she saw snape.

He raised his hand. "Tell me...why's you make this greas--I mean Snape a prefect?"

"Why is Snape here?' she whispered to Potter.

"They're claiming he was made prefect..." He whispered back, cept he didn't whisper. "Imagin that, the ol' grease ball's a prefect."

"So weird," muttered Evans.

"So idiotic," He replied, others around him laughing.

"James," said lily.

"Yes Lily?" He asked sweetly and innocently.

Lydia sighed as she once again left the commonroom. No one had spoken to her because they had heard about the 'spat' between her and james. Who would want to talk to her anyways. She sighed yet again and continued down the corridor not caring about the curfew.

James wasn't really listening as ohfnman went on talking; he frankly couldn't care less. He blinked as he saw Lydia walk by the classroom.

"I've, erm, gotta use the bathroom!" He called out and sprang through the door, shutting it behind him. He caught up to Lydia.

"Why're you out here? There are vampires loose you know. It's not safe," He said quickly.

Lydia looked at him and blinked a few times. "Aren't you suppose to be in some sort of special D.A.D.A. class with the other prefects?" she asked changing the subject.

James nodded. 'Yeah...but I think your safety is a bigger priority..." He said, not allowing her to completely change the subject on him.
