Lydia shrugged. "I'll be fine James." she told him smiling. "Thanks for your concern though. SO what was so funny. I heard a lot of laughter when I walked by."

James tried not to laugh, remembering Snape and lydia seemed to be friends.

"Ohh...it's really nothing..." He said.

"Uh huh, I heard you start to say greaseball." Lydia smirked. It was one that told James it was okay. "Was Snape involved in the conversation somehow?"

James whistle. "Oh, erm, no! Why ever would you suspect that?" he ask, although his tone was very, very unconvincing.

"Yeah, it was Snizelly..." He said, funally bursting out in laughter.

Lydia shook her head and gave a small laugh. "Why do you make fun of him, James? What has he done to you to start it off?" she asked curiously. She wasn't angry just a little curious as to how it all started. "Maybe I should come up with some weird drawback to your name?" she joked.

"Well, it used to be just because he, well, excisted...but now it because I just hate him, for many reasons. I'll tell you some of them later...we have a long history, even before school started..."

He gave Lydia a playful push. "You'd better not, or I'll...nevermind." He said, smirking evily.

Lydia's eyes widened. "Or youll what?" she was now even more interested in what the raven haired boy had to say. "What?" she asked desperately clinging to the sleeve og his robe and tugging it.

He slipped out of her grasp. "Oh, I'm not going to tell you..." He said, loving to annoye her.

"I'll tell you if you go back to the common room, I swear on it." He said, winking and rumpling his hair again.

Lydia crossed her arms across her chest. "Guess I'll never know." she said smiling innocently as she past him. "Nothing is worth going back to that hell hole."

"Dammnit why are you so stubborn Lydia! You ARE turining into me!" he cried in frustration. He grabbed her hand and pulled her along towards the GCR. "Are you saying you'd like to be attacked? Well, even if you do, I don't want you to be!"

Lydia growled. "No, James, please!" she begged struggling. "I don't want to be attcked. I. . .i just can't deal with the others. Not now. . .not ever."

He stopped for a second, glancing back at her. "And that means...?"

"It means, James, That I will spend the least amount of time I can in that f*cking rathole I am forced to call a commonroom and dormitories. And just calling that is a disgrace to rats." Lydia said trying to hold back the sobs.

"Ay. Well, then you can come with me to my DADA class!" He announced cheerfully. Without any warning what so ever, he pulled her into the DADA classroom, making her sit between him and Lily.

"Don't ask." He told Ohfman. He scooted an inch or so away from Lydia, tho, in fear that she might hit him.

Lydia gasped as James pulled her into the classroom. She glanced nervously around untl she noticed Snape and arched an eyebrow.

James yawned again, watching Lydia glance at Snape. He couldn't help but giggle silently. 'What a grease ball' he thought to himself. 'He wont last 5 minutes...'

Lydia smiled. She knew she and snape had a lot in common for two people in rival houses. She looked at James who had giggled. "Better watch out for the silent ones, they're said to be the most fierce." she whispered to him.

James had to cup his hand on his mouth to prevent an outburst of laughter. "Shut up, lydia!" He whispered, attempting to not bonk her over the head. Instead he flicked her arm.

Lydia smiled. So far James and Remus were the nicest people to her. and she felt a little bit more comfortable being in gryffindor.

"Hi. I've beem meaning to tell you something. That was totally rude of me for being cranky when you needed help with your homework. That's really bad of me. I wanted to tell you earlier but you just weren't there. So sorry," said Evans.
