James glared, growing agry. He looked straight back into her eyes. "Lydia, I am NOT saying this out of pity." He said slowly so she could catch every word he muttered. And it was true, he liked Lydia for, well, Lydia.

"How was I supposed to knopw if you were running off with Snape or someone else? YOU tell ME that."

Lydia jerked back surprised. "Oh God, James, What have I done. I'm so confused." she said her knees buckling sending her to the ground. she began to cry.

James kneeled down next to her. He gave her a small smile. "It's alright. You just need to take everything slowly. And stop putting yourslef down all the time," Wow, who would of thought James would be ating maturely?

"No, I. . .I can't. I've screwed up everything." she told potter.

(I wouldn't cause its not like James. LOL)

(Lol I know! Maybe this will be when he "Deflates his head a bit"? 😂 )

James looked quite confused, so confused it was actually a bit funny. "How so?" He asked, blinking.

"If you promise not to repeat what I'm about to say to anyone else or even make fun of the partys involved, I'll tell you." Lydia seemed desperate. She had to tell someone. For a moment she considered backing down without telling Potter.

James looked straight into Lydia's eyes, not blinking at all.
"Lydia, I wont tell a sole. I wouldn't even tell a tree....If I talked to trees."

Lydia sighs. "You might wanna sit down." waits until he does. "Look, remus is gone. I haven't seen him in almost two weeks. I think he's p*ssed or ignoring me. I was crying and upset, then Severus came along. and we sort of kissed and now we're dating. Please don't hate me. There's more, but I can't tell you that."

James sat and listened. He nodded. "Well...." He paused. It wasnt like he could control her love life. "I hardly blame you. He wasn't paying attention to you." He told Lydia quietly.

Lydia nodded. "The thing is Sevvy was bitten because he had stayed and talked to me." she said crying.

James was snickering on the inside, but maintaining a calm face on the outside. "Well..." He really didnt know how to comfort her with this. "Erm. You know you can still see him you know." He said, after a bit of carefull thought. He sometimes visited his friend that was bitten.

:Lydia stood. "I knew you couldn't understand. Thanks anyways."

James stood as well. "Couldn't understand?" He said, almost a yell. It was so sudden a few winged creatures took flight from the trees. "How do you figure that?! I TRY to give you help but you're just too stubborn and obnoxious to take any!" He said just as loudly. But he did think the last part was too harsh. Oh well, she needed it.

"Look Potter, it's just, I feel bad. What if Remus is hurt or sick, and I don't know?" she says surpringly calmly.

James let out a breathe. "He's fine," James said. He looked about. The only light came from the moon's rays, which her faint in the neck of the woods.

Lydia sighs. "So I am doomed to be accepted by slytherins only. Thanks" she says hugging James.

James sighed, hugging her back. "Well, if you haven't realised it, I accept you. I'm more then positive Evans does, and Sirius thinks your ok. So tell me," He said, pulling out of the hug to look at her. "How does that mean only Slytherin's shall accept you?"

"Well hang out with me. It's kuul. They know how to show me a good time, not saying you don't, James. Ugh, you know what I meant." Lydia said blushing. She was so flustered.

Locking the big metal suitcase shut she once more looked across the grounds. Taking a number of her spell books she hurriedly stuffed them into her bag. Taking her wand she tucked it into a pant pocket and she hurried downstairs to say goodbye to Potter.
