James poked her pink cheeks, grinning. "Sure. Then I've got a brilliant idea! Lets go for a, erm swim tomarrow! We dont have classes, its sunday tomarrow!" He exclaimed. "Now we'd better get back to the common room!" With that, he grasped her hand and set off towards the castle.

Lydia gasped as she was suddenly yanked towards the castle. "What? Why? It's too early." she argued.

"Is Potter here? I really got to talk to him?" Evans asked Bertha Jorkins. Bertha looked toward Evans with a clueless look on her face and kept talking about school rumors. Lily sighed and plopped herself down on a big chair by the roraing Gryffindor fire.

James sighed, but kept going till they were outside the common room. "I know you arent defensless but I could not leave you alone, mainly with all the crap that's been going on....To Evans and everyone, this never happened." He whinked, then the two entered.

"Hey Evans," He said casually, only slightly out of breath from sprinting so much for so long.

Lydia almost fell backwards. Great, she'd have to listen to everyone comforting Evan's because she lost her father. Big whoop. I lost both my parents and then get lectured about feeling sad.

James saw that look on Lydia's face. He elbowed her, giving her the look that clearly told her: "Dont-worry-everyones-over-it-or-at-least-i-hope-so. He yawned. The run was tiring.

Lydia looked at her feet. "Um, I'm going to leave you two alone to talk." she says slipping into her usual corner on the opposite side of the room.

James shook his head. "Why are you always like that....?" He asked her.

"I don't know. Maybe cause I'm use to it. "After the first two years of being ignored, it's a habit."

"Well loose the habit," He said....seriously? Hahaha...James was growing up! He was being serious for more then an hour!

Lydia looks nervous. "Um, we'll see. I might be able too."

"If you dont soon, I'll be forced to help you." He said, an evil grin forming, showing he was putting a plan together in his head.

Lydia's eyes widened. "That look can't be good. But it's hard to break habits."

James let out a laugh. "Oh, nothing I come up with is good..."

"I know. It is. I used to pull pranks on everyone...wait, i still do...Well i guess it IS hard! But with my help I'm sure you will!"

"James, wow are you grown up or what?" asked Lily she gave him a smile.

lydia still remained in her corner.

James sighed and turned to Lily. "What? I most certainly am NOT childish!"

"He's right, Ms. Evans. He's very logical and can also be counted on." Lydia spoke up. She blushed when she realized she had spoken out loud.

James turned around. "What!? Is it pick on James day today!?" He protested.

Lydia blushed furiously and shook her head. "Uh, I, um" she said before bolting from the room.
