sweet! enemy of the state is my favorite story arc atm, i have to read that

It's been good so far. Wolverine vs. everyone else mindless ultra violence. Good stuff. There's also a tie in with New Thunderbolts #4.

gahh, hope there isnt too many tie ins....i dont wanna end up having to by too many different comics

So far those are the only tie-ins I've noticed.

yeah, but for some reason i feel like there'll be more

i couldnt find new invader 2 and 3, theres plenty of issue 4 which i only wanna get once i have 2 and 3......but i finally got cable/deadpool but i started at #7 since i couldnt find any of the earlier comics, i think its great on so many levels

That sucks, 2 and 3 were great. If it comes down to it, you can probably get them off of milehighcomics.com

im gonna ask my comic book store to order them, they usually get all the stuff i order no matter how rare it is

cable deadpool 1-6 is available in a TPB

thats good to know, ill get that for sure then

it's out now

I just went to the comic book store for some previews (my local store allows customers to look at a fully completed version of each comic the week before it's released, so I was able to sample/preview wednesdays comics.

The only disadvantage is that they release new comics on thursdays instead of wednesdays.

Anyway, I read the end of the new Cap America issue#1.

Spoiler:
Red Skull was in possession of a cosmic cube, but was dead by the end of the issue (took out by a sniper

Spoiler:
red skull was in possession of a cosmic cube when he first fought the cap, it was red and gave him enhanced strength i think, pretty funny that he gets another cosmic cube at the end...but he gets taken out by a sniper? that blows

I'm not even going to bother with the new Cap. Priest's run on Cap and Falc has invigorated a stagnant character, pushing him up against new threats and partnering him with a guy who can tell him when he's wrong. I respect Brubaker, but using the Red Skull already, when he was just used in the last Cap arc, and previously used in the Red Zone arc in Avengers less than a couple months before that, no one cares much about the character anymore. He and Cap fight, whoop de doo.

I thik that that was the point of killing him off in the first issue

it was a pretty weak way to kill him off,imo it doesnt give justice to the character, no matter how over-used he was

probably just done to tie up loose ends and kill him off before introducing a new villain for a new chapter in cap's life. Plenty of others have been killed off for dissassembled

well in aveners disassembled it would explain the death's in a way, that is true though no other way to tie up loose ends for some writers.....kind of like beast dying in ultimate xmen to make way for something completely stupid

It's the Red Skull, death isn't going to stop him. I haven't even read it yet, I will read the first issue or two just to keep in the know as far as how Brubaker is doing Cap, but nothing is forever in comics.

As for Ultimate Beast, I'm hoping that they "reveal" that it was just an early LMD shield decoy, Hank had been disenfranchised with Xavier, so he jumped ship to the Ultimates and had Fury plant his "body" to sever all possible ties with Chuck.

that would be great, i mean his death really sucked, it could've at least been like a direct shot from one of the sentinels or something like that, i dont mind him dying just at least in a respectful way
