Oh well, it was the last Austen arc, with a 2 issue holiday interlude by Claremont, then Milligan (X-Statix) will take over. So it should start making sense soon, and quit being such a crappy soap opera wannabe!
Haven't made it out to the comic shop yet, but I'm getting Invaders at least, and who knows what else, probably X-Men just cuz I have a fair sized run on that going and in interest of completion's sake. Who knows what else.
New Invaders was great. A little action, but mostly a talking issue, however the dialogue and interaction was great and fast paced. It's only 1 of 2 for the storyline, so all the pins they set up will be knocked down right away. Some classic moments too, Blazing Skull uses his head flames to toast marshmellows lol.
X-Men was largely a deck clearing exercise, as Austen had to shunt all the storylines and characters he'd amassed throughout his run.
Ultimate X-Men was good, with some characters taking interesting directions, sans Wolverine, we've been there before with him although the introduction of Rogue into the mix does add an extra element. It was okay, but the storyline overall seemed a little bland. Up next, Ultimate Longshot!
yeah i agree with you on ultimate xmen, xmen blew imo, especially not showing the fight between wolvie and sabretooth, instead showing some long talk with the xmen trying to take out black tom, i thought it was pretty stupid, especially with evidence of iceman being able to stop him easily not too long ago....but the ending was pretty interesting
cable/deadpool was more cable and less deadpool, which is kind of sad because i think deadpool is a real cool character

if there were no guns, there would be less crime, not more crime.
