has anyone read xmen #164?

Spoiler:
i thought it sucked, not to long ago in uncanny iceman was able to stop black tom easily, since plants have water in them and iceman could simply turn it into ice...i think it would've been better if they just had an excuse for iceman not to be there

Oh well, it was the last Austen arc, with a 2 issue holiday interlude by Claremont, then Milligan (X-Statix) will take over. So it should start making sense soon, and quit being such a crappy soap opera wannabe!

Haven't made it out to the comic shop yet, but I'm getting Invaders at least, and who knows what else, probably X-Men just cuz I have a fair sized run on that going and in interest of completion's sake. Who knows what else.

i just got cable/deadpool #9, ultimate spidey #69, ultimate xmen #53, conan #10, xmen #164, and mk wolverine #22....i saw the new invaders there but my damn list is too long, i dont enjoy using up too much money on comics, so i put it in my box to buy it later

im a soap opera wannabe, or claremont?

That's how Austen writes. Crappily executed metahuman soap operas. I should have been more specific in the sentence lol.

Nice sig, by the way with the classic Toad.

yeah, arsenal did an awesome job, classic toad is the best looking imo

New Invaders was great. A little action, but mostly a talking issue, however the dialogue and interaction was great and fast paced. It's only 1 of 2 for the storyline, so all the pins they set up will be knocked down right away. Some classic moments too, Blazing Skull uses his head flames to toast marshmellows lol.

X-Men was largely a deck clearing exercise, as Austen had to shunt all the storylines and characters he'd amassed throughout his run.

Ultimate X-Men was good, with some characters taking interesting directions, sans Wolverine, we've been there before with him although the introduction of Rogue into the mix does add an extra element. It was okay, but the storyline overall seemed a little bland. Up next, Ultimate Longshot!

yeah i agree with you on ultimate xmen, xmen blew imo, especially not showing the fight between wolvie and sabretooth, instead showing some long talk with the xmen trying to take out black tom, i thought it was pretty stupid, especially with evidence of iceman being able to stop him easily not too long ago....but the ending was pretty interesting

cable/deadpool was more cable and less deadpool, which is kind of sad because i think deadpool is a real cool character

Yeah, although it trades off, I think issues 11 and 12, while having Cable as a primary plot device, will mostly be about Deadpool.

*Spoilers*
And it will guest star Fixer and the Agency X cast!

i cant wait for cable versus silver surfer....i hope it doesnt end in some stupid way heheh

Yeah. I saw issue 9 today with SS in it, and cant wait for the battle between them.

I dont see what the problem with Cable is that the US military and x-men and shield want to stop him for.

well he's gonna throw all the weapons on earth into the sun, although they'd only make more but it could lead to alot of looting probably

I don't think Cable has commited any serious crimes, as all the people living on his space station thing are all there willingly, although de-arming every nation could be considered an act of attrition.

yeah, he really hasnt commited crimes, but it would only make things worse imo, its not like someone just cant make guns anymore, and maybe make evern stronger ones

if there were no guns, there would be less crime, not more crime.

Did you SEE deadpool's x-men costume???

😂 😄😄😄

I cant wait for the next GL:rebirth issue.

I have read that by issue 3 or 4, hal does return to being parallax, and the JLA/JSA/teen titans team up to try to stop him. And Green Arrow uses the GL ring that hal gave him a while back.

😄

there was still crime and massive death before guns were even invented, and if you were to throw all guns into the sun, it doesnt mean theres no more metal in the world so people could still make them

lol, that was hilarious and kinda sick

Guns are just an elaborate tool people use to hurt one another. The cruelty inbred in the nature of man far surpasses anything a .45 can do. We would just have to find more creative ways to hurt each other.

lol, we still got fists and sharp objects, and cable didnt say anything about bombs

has anyone read mk wolverine #22?
