New Invaders #9 - the final issue.
It was really good and left room for more possibilities.
A great and unique series with a great ending.
So rare indeed.
Especially for Marvel these days.
I was dissappointed with what happened to a classic character.
He was so cool.
I hope there's future events that bring him back.......
New Invaders was good well-written comic-book literature.
No changing. No Upgrading. No re-tooling. Just good story-telling.
These days Marvel relies on changing/upgrading/re-mutating
all their heroes instead of just writing good stories.
Comic books are the ONLY artform invented by Americans.
Too bad Marvel seems to be loosing their grasp of the term "art."
I was dissappointed with what happened to a classic character.
At least his death meant something. He died to save his "daughter", and the rest of the Invaders. It had a meaning, and wasn't shock value like everyone who died over in Avengers recently. And the funeral was a great scene.
And we all know the golden rule, "If there's no body, he ain't dead."
You beat me to it Zahit. Wonderful ending to a great series. Quesada has ethereally hinted towards them wanting to do more with the Golden Age characters, so I'll be surprised to see if they actually do anything with them.
Thin Man deserves his own mini-series or something. What a great character! Jacobsen's version anyways, Thomas never really had a grasp on the character, rather than "the goofy guy who doesn't do much."

Phoenix Endsong was hype. Great Artwork though. Slighty pornographic poses though.Claramont sucks. End of discussion.
X-Men is REALLY weird now. I don't really like it. But I did like Emma's fear of aging though.
i dont like land... 😮
x-men is... thinking havok was cyclops too... and cyclops still has a shit costume...
Invaders 9 was great. The entire series was great. I think it slowed down for a couple issues in the middle, but not without reason.
Wolverine 27 was good. Mindless ultraviolence--Wolverine needs more of that.
Claremont does suck.
Captain America 5 was great. Lots of stuff going on, lots of layers. My favorite part was that Cap was hurt. Crossbones really did a number on him. Cap is more human than he'd like to think at times.
Ultimate Secret was good. I was expecting another bomb from Ellis after Ultimate Nightmare, but stuff is actually happening. It doesn't have to be over the top action, the story just has to move. Moving is not accomplished by four issues of walking around in the dark, and one issue of super dense crap. We find out why Marvel's on earth, why the Kree are interested in earth, more about Gah Lak Tus, Nick Fury acts like the cowboy badass he is, some more Ultimate Carol Danvers action, some Ultimate FF action, interestingly scientific and germaine. Then at the end, the two forces come together setting up the next couple issues for some great stuff, hopefully.
