Comic of the month!

Started by ScarletSpider48 pages
Well his being the most successful writer of the TV age, with stories as diverse as the shawshank redemption and the stand i'd say it was very hard!

Encompassing literature as a whole, it isn't hard to beat him. Plus he's weird looking.

Astonishing X-Men #8 rocked!!

Astonishing X-Men #10, Ultimate Secret #2, and Ultimates 2 #5 all were awesome.

Sandman and Astonishig X-Men #10 were good.

Me? I am waiting for the new Daredevil.

For sheer volume of ideas and consistant success over the last 30 years, I would think it was very difficult to beat him. The shining is now on some school courses.

Yea it was cool.

Now we have to wait four months for issue #3.

Marvel is slowly loosing my faith for I am reading more and more DC lately.

Amen. My reading is still probably more toward Marvel (maybe 60/40) but for years it was more like (90/10). With things like Sandman, I'll be getting Rebirth soon, they're starting a new "Crisis" (!?), greats like Kingdom Come and Superman: Red Sun, etc. And basically all Marvel has done is disenchant me with most of their "Ultimate" series (some I don't mind though..X-Men not so good...Ultimates and Spidey ok).

At least DC is stepping it up...I'll give that to them. I've even found myself reading random JLA/JSA stuff more often now.

When i first started reading comics, it was almost all marvel (mostly x-men).
But now, its almost only DC that I read.

Comics i read:
Marvel:
4
Fantastic 4
x-23
Ultimates
Ultimate Secret
Cable/Deadpool

DC i read:
Green Lantern
Action Comics
Superman
JLA
IC Countdown (rann/thanagar war, Day of vengence, Omac project)
Teen Titans
Outsiders
Wonder Woman
Superman/Batman
Lex Luthor: man of steel
Lucifer

Jim Lee and Brian Azzarello's SUperman was the bigegst let down since Dark Night Strikes again. the art was beautiful of course but what a waste of Jum Lee. Man Brian save your long drawn out thinker stories for Edward Risso.........

Here's Hoping New Avengers #6 and Batman/Superman rock tomorrow

You know, DC is starting to come on with the heavy hitters though, the last 2 years of books have really gotten me spending more on wensedays.

I now get about 50% marvel 50% dc some weeks more one than the other

I read a lot of independant and DC but the best 4 comics at the mo are all marvel imo. Ultimates, Ultimate secret, Supreme Power (the real hyperion) and Strange (the real doctor strange).

😄

I think that X-23 has been an awesome read as of late... Sucha good origin story, also I really enjoy Judd Winnick's Batman, So much better than that Brian Azzerello,

The latest Wolverine book is awesome. This "Agent of Shield" storyline is great.
FINALLY after 15 YEARS of inconsistant CRAP writing they get Wolverine right!!!
He's not some uper-powerful super hero.
He's one of the greatest secret agents/assassins in the world.
The scene where the SHIELD doctor tells his superiors that
he signed-off on Logan taking 3 Sentinals with him.
Brilliant.
This is how Logan should be written.
Using his cunning and experience to take enemies out,
rather than walking through them like a mini-hulk.
FINALLY someone writes Logan PROPERLY.
Now if the rest of Marvel can take notes......

i haven't read Strange... but the other 3 titles you mentioned are all very good

I wouldnt say that ultimate secret was VERY good. THe first episode hardly had any plot or dialogue in it at all.

The return of donna troy thing was strange. She's one of those charachters who has had her origin changed so many times, its hard to keep track of them.

Read Strange it rocks
