re: relationships consider Ra's al Ghul, on/off father in law & Head of the Rogues, Love Triangles, Catwoman, Talia, and whoever Bruce Wayne is dating and then theres the tension with WW.
FAMILYWISE, a son in Grayson, goddaughter in Cassandra Cain, [he's like a father to her] Barbara Gordon, yeah she acts tough and Bats acts tough too but they go back a long ways, Gordon, Alfred, Supes best friends, Gordon made it clear in Blind Justice he would protect Bats dual ID. Then there's WayneCorp/WayneTech./WayneEnterprises. & the whole picking a fight with the President AND WINNING IT. WITH STYLE.
Add a rich history Thomas & Martha Wayne paved the way before. Batman's origins demonstrate phenomenol initiative, discipline, dedication & direction, strategy. foresight and willpower at an early age. Witness a Character who chose his destiny and continues to shape & mould it as is his wont.
Contrast with Cap who had little going, good thing the army relaxed recruitment protocols, just when experiments with performance enhancers were getting somewhere.
