Are some people born evil?

He's saying God or the devil ultimately dictates your actions, personaly I think they simply set the stage. You make your own fate. Free will, it's a *****, but they seem to think it's special..

1. No

2. No

3. Common Sense.

You've just validated my argument with your answers. "Common Sense" should tell you this.

By admitting to having no understanding or authority regarding life's creation, you have admitted to having no "authority" over the "Creator" of life. Therefore you have no "authority" which enables you to judge the "Creator's" actions.

I still don't understand your thinking. What do you mean when you say "authority"? 😕

A set of beliefs/principles/or individuals that you submit to..and get your opinions from.

Do you truly believe that every opinion you have is unique to your person?

If your answer is yes..please give me some examples of your "unique" opinions. And remember...in order for your opinion to be truly unique, it can not be derived from any other school of thought stated throughout history.

Nice try, doesn't change the fact that your god is a hypocrite. I can judge anything I like, especially when it comes to a god that killed children for the screw ups of their parents.

Why do I need authority to judge something that is blatantly hypocritical, it's that common sense thing that allows me to see such hypocritical actions.

Whether or not I have "authority" to judge your god is irrelivent, I'm still doing it.

You know, psychologicaly beleiving in God has alot of perks.

I noticed people who believe in God tend to in general be less of an *******.

They have better sex lives. (Notice in general Christians have the most children..)

They live longer and are generaly healthier.

So they must be doing something right. Jealous much athiests?

Is there any valid basis for those observations? Or....

Look it up. I'm not google.

okay, I'll go ahead and type it "Christians have better sex lives" in google, I'm sure what will come up with be totally valid.

Actually, I'm going to go ahead and type that in to google just to see what comes up, 20 bucks says it's bestiality.

Shucks, no bestiality. 🙁

Seriously though, so you have no back up for these claims? Alrighty then.

SpellJammer, Why is there evil in a world God created?

Free will.

Or because God is incompetent. Take your pick.

I don't believe God created the world. Atleast I would hope not.

If he did. I side with the devil and his opinion on hummanity being servants to the will of the angels. They came first, they're closer to God, man should have no say and be a slave.

But if He didn't create the world, then He's not to blame. Nor would He be to blame anyway because mankind does a well enough job ****ing everything up for themselves and everything they come into contact with.

Either way. I don't care. I just want hummanity to suffer for it's sins against the earth..

I remember for a while I refused to pray to a god that allwoed for whole rainforests to be cut down, when could be searched for the cure for cancer, and later turned in to huge grazing places for evil cows that would later be slaughtered crudely and turned into quarter pounders that are sold at the place of all evil, Mc Donalds that is killing my view of beutiful places from it's stupid golden archs that is worshed by people who worship all that is evil, Ronald McDolald.
I lied. I still feel that way...

I don't even believe God is all powerful. I just think He's a guy trying to do his part. And that's what makes Him good. Like the song "whatif God were one of us"

No, of course I don't think that. I was just confused, because "submit yourself to authority" implies, well, submitting yourself to an authority. As in, someone/something in power.

I find it interesting that your "common sense" enables you to judge something that you clearly don't understand/have any knowledge of, particularly when it involves the issue of life's creation.

The fact remains BF..that you have openly admitted to not knowing/understanding the mysteries of creation, which in turn makes it impossible for you to understand/judge the actions of an intelligent Creator...

Obviously it's not impossible since I'm doing it.

He says "Don't kill", then he KILLS children. I don't need to understand the mysteries of creation to know that according to almost every moral code in existance, including Christianity, that this is wrong, and is not something a loving god would/should do, not to mention it's blatantly hypocritical.

But if you're God, who's going to stop you?

No one, obviously. Doesn't make it right, though.

There may well be an evil gene complex where the result is the person cannot judge right from wrong a kind of super tourettes as it leads to evil acts.
