Official Spiderman 3 Updates & News thread

Zephonim, they've already proven they don't mind having villians cross over movies, with setting up for Harry to be a Goblin in the third movie at the end of the second. And I felt splitting it the way I did would allow them to tell the story reasonably close to how it should be told with Spidey wearing the symbiote for a time then discovering its evil, but first it has to seem like a beneficial sort of relationship. For the most part I only really have villians crossing over two movies. And as for Dunst leaving, don't care much, I don't think she's a very good actress, and I don't really like her as Mary Jane either, I also don't think she's all that pretty. She's pretty yes, but not that pretty. So if Dunst leaves I won't be that upset by it.

For the rest you just need to get actors to sign two picture deals, and maybe you don't even show them before hand. I just like the idea of setting up little side stories in the previous film, as they've sort of done, so we know where the films might be headed. If they want, they can not even introduce the Lizard until the forth movie, and not introduce Eddie until then either. And then not introduce Carnage until the last movie. I just felt crossing between two movies would allow them more of an ability to develop characters and things like that. But they don't need to, not really.

I agree that Venom would be wicked cool, but he is definatly a newer villan. He hasn't been around or considered as classic as many of the other guys. I love Venom, but I would almost rather see other stories put on film. I personally love the Lizard, he is one of those bad guys that messes with Peter not only as the bad guy, but also becuase of who he is and was before he was a bad guy.
I would think the Clone Saga will never make it to the screen. The comic series took a hit during that story and lost some popularity.
John Jameson will be back in the next, so they could be setting up Venom or the Man-Wolf but I think he is just not a well known enough villan to have him take up a whole movie.
I'm not saying they couldn't cross a villan over movies, what I am saying is that they would have to keep the same people. It would be like if they changed who played Legolas after the Two Towers. Wouldn't work. As of right now no one is confirmed for more than three, and before they started working on a cross over villan I would want to hear that everyone (sans Dunst, not a huge fan. She's cute, but MJ is hot, not cute.) would be around for the fourth.

are u not spidey fans? its quite obvious it will problably be scorpion, they have all set up, harry found the potion of strengh, james hates spiderman, and harry hates peter,(what u though that sadic smile in the church was for?) , it was like, i know how to revenge now.
back to topic, harry as oscorp industries set up with jameson to destroy spiderman once and for all, since he couldnt kill his friend himself,jameson acept, creats scorpion like the 90s cartoon, as a new hero to take spidey down, and again put the hole city agains him, so in fact cops will be most of spiderman problems plus, social life, plus, scorpiom,plus jameson, and maybe even harry makes it up with peter saving him in the end, and hopefully dieng, so we have never to see that lame actor again,
ps not again, on raimi franchise, becouse tll they change spidey 3 is the last one.

I still think that ya'll are dreamin' on more than 3 movies here, but if they do go on then I can see a change in all but the three characters that I believe are vital to identify the movies to come, with the movie already made: Tobey has to be there of course, and Mr Franco is too ingrained in our heads for there to be any one but him as Harry, and the lady herself....... Rosemary Harris. Yes, thats right Aunt May. No, not Dunst. Never was that happy about her in the first place, and any one see that interview where she and Tobey come out and they hardly even look each others way the whole time. Its like there is no chemistry off the set thing there.
On the Director thing... i don't know, a change of director can be a bad thing: ie Borne Identity vs Borne Supremacy... the 1st one rocked.. the 2nd one sucked.. try to get us into the scene???? was he drunk?????
But if the person who would come in to take over for Raimi had vision and an ego that can fit into an elevator (I know, for Hollywierd thats asking a lot) then maybe the new director would try and make the change as seamless as possible and not a piece of themselves as a rite of passage

Rosemary and Tobey do actually have chemistry on the set. They get along well.

There is two ways it could go. Harry Osbourne could say ' well, now I know why Peter Killed my father.' But then he could go as the green goblin to avenge for his father. Or it could be Lizard. I discussed this with The ones.

Are you serious??? Have you just started to watch movies or something? I'll let you in on a little secret... the movie makers can be, nd usually are idiots!!! Why do i say that? Because they think that we are mindless sheep who will watch whatever they put out there.

My examples: here are a couple: In Aliens they go the completely other way and kill off the girl and the Sgt and put her on a prison planet (I think it was time to change the bong water, but that is my opinion)

And to bring it all home... Spiderman 1. At the end of the movie when she (Dunst) kisses Peter, she brings her hand to her mouth as if she realizes that she recognizes the kiss though this is her first kiss with Peter (minus the suit). In the very next movie however, we are right back to where we left off, her being clueless again.

The only obvious thing here, is that the powers that be only care about the fans if the buy tickets to the movie.

Spiderman 3 is going to be the Lizard and i heard he is going to wear his lab coat. Spidey better watch out. I hope they don't have 2 villains in this movie. It will kill it.

If they have more than one villain than that is a bad sign. That crap killed the batman movies.

I don't think it was the "more than one villain" thing that killed the Batman movies, I think it was a massive combination of Joel Schumacker, bad casting, change of music and cinematography, AND the fact that the villains they chose, couldn't be linked. Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze is not a good mix. Riddler and Two-Face aren't a good mix. What would've been, would've been say, The Clock King and The Riddler. Two minds working together. I think with Spider-Man they can make it so they don't have to "team up", they can just be seperate villains. The Lizard shouldn't team up with like, Mysterio or something. But Rhino and Shocker could be thrown in as random guys to add fight scenes with and such.
