I would like Venom not just cause he's awesome looking, but because he's got such a cool character arch. Spider-Man goes evil after getting the symbiote, and this angry guy at Parker, NOT at Spider-Man, receives it, knows EVERYTHING about Parker, has the same powers, doesn't activate the spider sense, and he puts up the best fight against him ever, until Carnage, where he turns GOOD...but he also is not a good guy. I think that that is awesome, and I really hope they do that. As for the story development, they just fill in the empty Mary Jane love story points of the story with Eddie Brock moments. To fill in the areas of the missing powers from Spider-Man 2, you've got establishing of the symbiote. The movie could be about how Parker feels like he's met his match, and how now that he has Mary Jane, there's a definite possibility to lose her to the guy that knows everything about Parker. I think this would be perfect for Spider-Man 3, especially if they throw in another villain like Shocker or something just for kicks in the beginning to fight while he's in the suit. The very beginning could be the spaceship coming down and Spider-Man saving the people, and getting the symbiote. It would be a good idea for them to keep Venom alive too, and maybe even at the end say something along the lines of "You know what Parker...you're a tough man...Stay that way, you might have to fight beside me sometime." and then he just leaves.

Sounds a little too..."...in a perfect world" to me.

yeah 😂

... Presuming it's Lizard and Green Goblin II in SPIDER-MAN 3, and Venom in the unnanounced SPIDER-MAN 4. They could then wrap the series up with a SPIDER-MAN 5 featuring Carnage.

Then do a Carnage spin off, certificate 18 with lots of blood and guts.

I think it might be The Lizard and the Hob Goblin in Spider-Man 3. I mean even though Harry turns into the Green Goblin in the comic book i think he will turn into the Hob Goblin in the movie. But i'm not sure.

Harry as Green Goblin 2 = Great

Harry as Hob Goblin = poor effort for a dreadful film

Harry as any Goblin in Spider-Man 3: bad idea

Repeat of villains this early will kill it. Spider-Man 1 was psyching people up cause it was fresh. Doc Ock kept people interested because it was a popular and awesome villain. Green Goblin again will seem pointless. Thats why Venom would be a great choice, for the people that know him they're itching to see him, for the fans of the comic that don't really like him too much - they'd at least understand why he was picked and maybe change their mind due to lack of very important villains left...and for the people that are gonna start out new and fresh, what better than to impress them with the coolest mofo in the whole series, an anti-Spider-Man wearing all black basically and a real kickass mean look? He's intimidating, and the third in a trilogy always speaks of a certain possible doom for the hero, so this will suck many many many people in to the theatres, = lots of moolah + a very worthwhile storyline that ties in nicely and makes sense, not diminishing the artistic or fan-base aspect of these movies.

ME want venom , he is really awesome 😄 👆

Don't want to have harry as goblin => harry sucks , goblin sucks more , goblin has a stupid costume 😉

Am I the only one that isn't really impressed by Black Cat? Dushku would be a great choice for the role, but do we need her? What does she do besides look hot (hence Dushku being a great choice) lol

She can teach Peter the true meaning of responsibility.

If they decide to go along with BlackCat in Spidey 3, then they'll probably go along with what they were going to do with the second one and she offers Peter a new life, a life that makes him Spider-Man 24/7 where he cuts MJ, Harry, and Aunt May out of his life and can fight crime whenever he wants, and only if he wants.

Peter will think about this choice but negelect it, learning that his powers are not to be used for his advantage, and that no matter how bad is life is, he must continue the way of the hero.

if you ask me, and now one did of course, they should leave venom out of 3 and intro him in 4 peterparker should dawn the symbiote in 3 and match up vs anyone but venom. the whole movie will revolve along peters flaws in his new suit, his enhanced self image, his enhanced powers and of course his rage. this of course will lead to trouble. he'll think he's on top of the world but it'll fall apart beneath him and he will be left with the choice of the symbiote or his humanity. we all know the choice he makes of course leads to total venom in part 4

As long as they keep the cast and crew including Raimi in tact, I don't care how many movies they make. I would love 6 Spider-Man movies of the callibur we've seen with 1 and 2, and I'd like that better than just 3, but I doubt anybody will stick with it past 3 so I'm hoping for Venom...most likely a wasted hope but I'm still hoping.

Spidey 70s TV actor Nicholas Hammond still in cameo character in Spidey 3 movie.

the reason i want venom in a film is cause he is such a cool anti-hero, he was never a villain he just wanted spider-man dead...no world domination shit.... no mob guru....none of that shit...i think i still have a comic somewhere were he and spiderman even sorta team up...someone tried to kill spiderman and he jumps in cause he says hes the only one that has the right to kill him

Finally, someone agrees with me!
That's what I been sayin' on this other forum!
I thought it would be awesome Spider-venom vs. Harry. (Pumpkin bombs = heat and noise = ow.)

And Because of the alien egging him on he could almost kill someone which leads him to renounce it. He makes up with Harry before he dies. The alien bonds with Brock blah blah blah... cliffhanger left open for Spidey 4.

Spider-Man 3 Starts Shooting in 3 Months?

'Maxpower' attended this weekend's "FX Show" in Florida and says J.K. Simmons, who plays J. Jonah Jameson in the "Spider-Man" movies, gave an update on Spider-Man 3:

Hi there! Love the site. I was at the FX Show this weekend, and spent some time talking to JK Simmons. According to him, they start shooting Spider-Man 3 in three months, and release date is Spring 2007. Course, things may change, but this is what the man said!

We're pretty sure they'll keep that May 4, 2007 release date, but it's cool to hear that shooting may get underway so soon already!

damn, beat me to it

I don't know if anyone has posted this, and really, I don't feel like reading through 30 pages of this thread, but I also figure I should post in the Officially sanctioned Spider-Man 3 thread.

This is how I see the plot for Spider-Man 3 going down, and then the rest of the franchise after it.

We start off with John Jameson going off into space, one of the first things to happen in the movie. We then find Harry fiddling with the Goblin equipment, changing it slightly, either to Hobgoblin, or a more true to the comics Green Goblin costume. We also have Doc Connors working through his resaerch to grow back his arm. At some point he turns into the lizard. Maybe Spidey's fought Harry once or twice before this. Now he also has to deal with the lizard. Harry as the Green Goblin, somehow manages to always show up when Spidey has his hands full with the Lizard. He gets beat up pretty bad, manages to just barely get away from the fight for who knows what reason.

MJ gets really worried about him, doesn't want him fighting both the Lizard and the new Goblin at once, afraid he's going to die. That sort of thing, but he has to help the Lizard, because Peter knows it's really Doc Connors. He's been working on a cure for the Doc since he figured it out. Finally finishes the cure. Goes out to try and find Doc Connors.

At this point John Jameson's space shuttle crashes near Manhatten, a la the 90s Cartoon Series. Peter goes to the rescue as Spider-Man. Gets John out of the shuttle, goes in for the other crew members, as he goes in pumpkin bomb goes off, trapping him under some rubble. He tries to move it but can't. We vaguely see some strange dark shape shifting in the shadows. Harry, whom he doesn't know is behind the Goblin mask walks up then, with that spear like thing Norman had in the first movie, and sounding exactly like Norman says, "Goodbye, Peter."

Peter scrambles to try and get the piece of rubble off of him, but he can't. Harry's standing there over him, ready to strike him down. A few gun shots go off near Harry's head. He turns to see a few cops firing at him. He turns to Peter, "I'll be back to deal with you." Harry goes off to take out the cops.

Just then the dark shape comes out of the shadows, it's the black symbiote. It makes a tentative connection with Peter and tells him it can help him, if he'll let it. Peter not wanting to die, agrees. The symbiote merges with him and he throws off the rubble. The whole thing with the rubble of course to show us that the symbiote makes him stronger than he was before.

Peter and Harry then have their final battle ranging all over Manhatten, Peter really winning pretty easily. Even if/when the Lizard shows up. At some point, Peter is once again in danger of dying, maybe he's in a flaming building or something, hence why the symbiote can't help him. Harry suddenly realizes what he's doing and saves Peter's life. somehow taking a mortal injury himself. Peter unmasks the new Goblin to find out it's Harry. He's shocked. Harry's last words are, "Don't tell anybody." Keeping up the theme of the secrets that Peter must keep that's always been popping up in the movies.

If the Lizard showed up during this last fight, Peter manages to cure him, if not, that waits until the next movie, and the movie is now over. Or maybe it finishes with Harry's funeral.

Now we're on to Spider-Man 4.

If the Lizard issue wasn't resolved in the last movie it's resolved at the very beginning of this one. Or maybe that's the villian through the whole movie. The villian in this movie doesn't matter that much, it could be anyone. What matters is that Peter is wearing the symbiote and we see that he starts getting more and more violent as the movie progresses. I like the idea of the Lizard being dealt with early on, and then another villian or a stream of them being introduced in this movie, that Peter ends up dealing with more and more violently as the movie progresses.

Or it could be he's only dealing with Doc Connors, and it is his increasing violence towards Doc Connors as the Lizard that clues him in to the true nature of the Symbiote, as he doesn't want to hurt the Lizard.

Eddie Brock's hatred of Spider-Man is established in this movie, though perhaps he was introduced on screen in the last. Brock's hatred is the result of a macho moment that Peter has while under the influence of the symbiote, as he catches Brock taking pictures of him as Spider-Man and ruins Brock's film, to ensure his own financial well-being. Peter laments over what he did later on, unsure of why. At some point he realizes that the symbiote is evil. And he starts trying to find a way to get rid of it.

Perhaps he does this with the help of Doc Connors. In the end Peter gets rid of the Symbiote, possibly at the church bell, a la the comics. At the church that night the symbiote comes across Eddie Brock. The symbiote initiates a conversation with Brock. It learns how much Brock hates Spider-Man, and then tells Brock that it hates Parker, and reveals to Brock, that Parker is Spider-Man. Brock starts speaking in terms of "us" and "we".

Just then we get a cutaway of Peter waking up in the Spire and web slinging away to go back home. Then we cut back to Brock and the Symbiote who are now bonding. The movie ends with their bond complete and the birth of Venom.

Now Spider-Man 5.

Now we have an entire movie of Spidey versus Venom, with Venom having been properly established in the franchise with the proper background. Here's what we've all been waiting for, the grudge match. Perhaps we even some how have the birth of Carnage begun in this movie, I don't really care how it happens, or if it does. Movie ends with Spidey beating Venom, and Brock and the symbiote being seperated, and Brock getting locked up. If this is the last movie in the franchise let it end like that. If it's not, have Venom captured earlier in the movie, the carnage symbiote born at some point during his capture, possibly by scientists experimenting with the venom symbiote and trying to find a way to recreate it.

Movie ends with the venom symbiote finding its way back to Brock, and the two of them escaping together. And possibly the carnage symbiote finding a proper host who then also escapes.

Now here's Spider-Man 6, if they go this far.

Certainly here we have the carnage symbiote find a host and then escape to wreak havok on NYC. Spider-Man tries to stop him but he can't. Venom appears out of no where, he tries to beat Carnage can't. Carnage then runs off leaving his two beaten foes behind. Spidey and Venom agree to team up to beat Carnage, but Venom says it has to be on his terms. Spidey doesn't like the idea, but for now he agrees, wishing there was a better way.

They try things Venom's way for a while, but it just doesn't work out, especially because Spidey is reluctant to do things Venom's way. He's still looking for the other way. Suddenly, a la Maximum Carnage Peter realizes what the better way is, we are shown what truly makes a hero, and Spidey manages to beat both Carnage and Venom. And that my friends is the end. If I were Sony, that's how I'd do this franchise. But that's just me.

More From Simmons on Spider-Man 3?
Source: SHH!
January 31, 2005

'Mark' says he has more from J.K. Simmons about Spider-Man 3:

Hiya, I was also at the FX Show and when I spoke to JK Simmons the first thing I asked was 'is there a script'. He said 'yes' but it will only be released to the 4 main characters (PP MJ HO and the bad guy 6 weeks before filming. Everyone else gets it 2 weeks before EACH SHOOT! this is to ensure nothing gets leaked. Keep up the good work, Mark.

Corlock Stricker,
I like most of what you have going on in your ideas. The thought of bringing the symbiote has always been cool, but I think it would be a mistake. Crassing over movies like that would be a bad idea unless they were sure they could keep all the same people involved with the movie. Dunst is leaving after the third movie and Raimi is a maybe. It wouldn't work to have different people for the two halves of that story.
When it comes to villans in the fourth movie stick with what the cartoon did if you're going that way with how he gets the symbiote. Have Shocker, one of the few who can hurt him in the suit, and Rhino, which would be an easy way to see just how strong Peter has become.
I would almost rather have no symbiote in the 3rd. I wanna see the Goblin come back (Not the Hobgoblin. I know you see the difference, but it gets old how often people refer to Harry as becoming the Hobgoblin.) and just having messing with Peter. Harry knows who Peter is, and Peter will know who Harry is. It needs to come down to Peter having to kill Harry. Tobey showed that he has somewhat of a dark side in Seabiscuit. Not huge, but pretty good for him. I think this movie needs to get dark and deal with how the Goblin has always been one of Peter's worst enemies, if not the worst, because of how dangerous he is to not only him, but to everyone Peter knows.
I have more, but this has gotten a little ling and rambling. Let me know what you think.

So the first 2 movies went like this:
Spiderman 1 - Green Goblin
Spiderman 2 - Doctor Octopus

Assuming from Spiderman 2, Spiderman 3 may or may not look like this:
Spiderman 3 - Lizard, Green Goblin, Man-wolf (personally I think they should put in Electro, Scorpion or Vulture etc - well characters who don't need much of a storyline)

Straight from Sam Ramai's mouth he said that spider-man could become the next James Bond eg heaps of movies so heres some ideas that would add lots of characters and be fit for the movie screen:
Spiderman 4 - Clone Saga (maybe far fetched but would add Jackal, Kaine, Kraven and Scarlet Spider)
Spiderman 5 - Venom (imagine spiderman and Scralet Spider vs Venom, plus introduce Carnage as Cletus Kassidy)
Spiderman 6 - Maximum Carnage (oh you know it - will never really happen but would be the greatest movie of all time)

So thats just to get you guys thinking 😄
