i COMPLETELY agree with this. everyone is making a HUGE deal about the facts. really, i don't think its that improtant. i mean, its ok if they wandered from the facts. it's not the end of the world. they were merely trying to make it more of a movie. a movie that many audiences wouldbe interested in. if they followed the facts too closely, it would be boring and a little...cheezy i guess. i say, just watch the movie as an entirely separate thing, based on the Trojan War. i thot it was an excellent movie. great battle scenes, good acting, believable characters (though, i must agree, Paris was a WUSS and i hated him) but i LUVED the movie sooo much. one of the best i've ever seen. an i really think people should stop criticizing it so much. it is, after all, only a movie. you want the facts, go read a book.

ok and i now feel like an idiot but im having a brain lapse.. which dvd player takes pictures i thought it was win dvd and maybe my version is just old but it wont do it.. theres one with a little camera option and u can just click away as it plays or is paused and save pics
i luved the movie. i kno they screwed up some things, but i think they made it better. like if they had followed it exactly it wouldn't have been as thrilling and beautiful! i thot all the actors were perfect. helen was actually very beautiful. i was afraid they'd put like some semi-prrtty lady in. i might go see it again this weekend!!! i'm so excited. i think we should post pictures on this site. lol that was random.
does anyone know if Patroklos was actually achilles cousin as i know it he was just a good friend.. and achilles was mad and didnt want to fight so Patroklos begged him to let him use his armor to scare them he agreed and then Hector killed him and took the armor.. Angered achilles agreed to fight again, and Hephastos made him new armor at the asking of his mother.. I think it would of been cool to see that but i guess they were avoiding all showing of gods
yeah, they were. they thot the gods would make it "unbelieveable" and ppl wouldn't want to see that. i can kinda see from that point of view. cause i read the oddyssey and watched the movie and they were all a bit obsessed with the gods, i thought. i dunno. also, it might have caused some kind of religious conflict or something. i dunno. some people get really worked up over religion.
