Cable vs. Nate Grey AKA X-man

Personally, I think the differences can be traced to the way Marvel has treated Cable through the years. His name, powers, and history have been reconned so many times it will make your head spin.

But as the change in the way he was drawn in the past, I think Marvel is trying to show him and Nate are the same person.

that isnt really PROOF is it, its an explanation and a vague and somewhat far fetched one at that{n im sure even youd agree that there are a lot of "it could be" in there}

fact is that a difference in diet does NOT mean a difference of 10 INCHES! health difference MAYBE, but noway can it result in anythin but a few inches height difference{n even the most non scientific comic book writer would know that} and there is STILL the issue of cable ALWAYS HAVING{since birth} superhuman strength{which IS judged by the mutant dna} while nate does NOT, which is why they CANT be identical, they are SIMILAR but not IDENTICAL,

Again, Cable was created in a different period in Marvel where the more "bombastic" style of Liefeld and others were popular. Thus Cable was drawn as being 6'6'' and 350lbs which really isn't very realistic. Nate was created later when that was out of fashion and as a result is a 5'9 135lbs. As for his powers (such as the super strength) they has been altered through the years much like the nature of his metal arm (originally he was a cyborg).

The quotes that Nathan Summers provided were dated from 1996, and the writers then stated that they were the same person with the same powers. Given the inconsistance with which Cable has been presented (his powers and origins have changed several times), I can understand if Marvel has let a few difference un-corrected. But unless you show a quote in a comic or by the writers after 96 saying that there ARE differences with the two, I don't really see the logic of your arguements.

If you've read Cable/Deadpool, you'll see that the two are EXTREMELY similar when they're at the same age. Personally, I like the young Cable over Nate.

Yes and I believe that was done to keep a flow of continuity and story. Before the last couple of Cable/Deadpool you couldn't see any similarities aside from they glowing eye really.

actually NO they are not the same being, when nate travelled to alternate universes he met another shaman type somwhat unhinged version of himself {he did not have an X marked on his chest then} who explained to him that almost all of sinister's GENETIC experiments to create nate grey failed in other realities and even if they were born they were born with defects{see how cable is not mentioned and nate is} the AOA nate grey was the ONLY one who was a succes and later the aoa nate touched the alternate universe nate to get his X shaped insignia on his chest. this pretty much closes the debate of nate and cable being the SAME person from different universes, only nate was mentioned NOT cable{and cable was NOT a cyborg, he was only injected with the techno organic virus by apocalyose and has nuthing to do with his superhuman strength{the biomachenical arm is actually class 20 while cables normal NON AUGMENTED body is class 10} that is part of his genetic makeup which is unlike nate who has neither the same power nor the same physique.} as we have seen there is only one version of cable and he exists in the 616 timeline.

I think its been explained the differences in appearences, early differences is abilities, and the fact remains that as of 1996, Nate and Cable are the same person according to marvel. You may disagree but unless you can find a more recent quote from the writers or a scan from a comic stating that they are different, then it really it is settled.

Nate Grey/X-Man is a paradoxical being born of a reality that never will exist.

The comic book has stated they are genetically identical, regardless of what you think; simply because it was stated by the creators and the comic book itself several time.

Besides if all other alternate reality of Nate are a Failure, what about Stryfe? He is not hindered in any way.
