Signature Help/Tutorials

Started by Diamonds99 pages

I can't open this render (don't ask) on PSP. This box comes up.
I tried re-saving it, but that didn't help, nor did loading it to a different host. I can open other images, just not that one.
Anyone got any idea why?

Strange, I can open it and I use PSP 9 😑

I don't know what's going on, 'cause I've scanned it with two anti-virus programmes and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. I can't drag it into PSP, but I can drag other images into it. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't the tournament.

Try this one, it's JPG but bleh, maybe this works

The only thing that I can think of is the fact that Tpt uses a macbook now has caused some sort of weird incompatibility with your program 😕

Yeah, it works. I'll just feather it, it'll blend in better then anyway.
Oh, well. I was just gonna do a printscreen and feather it if no-one had a solution, but thanks for your help, guys.

I don't think so... 😖

I don't know, there might be something wrong with my computer 😬

i jus got photshop and im not even sure if thats the tool u need to make siggies, i need a mentor or something

Alright I have a few different questions:

1.) What, if any other than the ones in the resource thread, signature tutorial sites are helpful on making Paint Shop Pro graphics of celebrities. The tuts I've come upon only give instructions on things like blinkie bears and fake stuff, but I was going to make another Bam graphic and I don't want it to be so bland.

2.) How do you find a background (for the signature) that looks really good and will go behind two completely different photos. This sounds complicated I know but say I had two completely different photos and one of them has a really good background but isn't large enough to fit two pictures on, but the other one has a completely different background that I didn't like but wanted to add onto the other one to make it look realistic and good. Does anyone get what I'm saying? 😬

3.) Is it possible, and if so, please tell me how, to make a signature with a little blinkie in the corner. Say I made a Bam graphic and I wanted the word "BAM" or a little heart to be blinking, could I do that?

Thanks.

Why the hell did you find that necessary?

If you're going to quote a post with a tutorial or other huge images, edit out the images themselves. Not everyone here finds huge scrolling posts amusing.

1) I don't know any, I've been looking for some myself. It depends on what programme you use. Just try a google search for "signature tutorials" and the name of the programme you use. I tend to use C4Ds on a new layer, with the blend mode set to soft light.

2) I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but you could just erase the background of both images and use a texture for a background, and you can get a grunge background by putting a load of grunge textures on top of each other (on separate layers, of course) and mess around with the blend modes. Also you can fill a new layer with colour, add some noise to it and motion blur it 90*. Repeat and set the motion blur to 180*. Lower the opacity on one of them to 50% and merge those layers. Desaturate or make it all one colour. Voila, une background.

3) Depends which programme you use.

Hope you understood all that.

Ooh, thank you very much for the help! I thought nobody'd ever reply. 😛

Hm... I downloaded GIMP recently, and I've run into a problem.

Whenever I try to use the text tool, it works fine until I actually try to put on a letter, then the program says its run into a fatal error, and shuts itself off.

I have the same problem on the other computer I have.

Did you install it right?

Iono. Everything else (To my knowledge) works alright, except for the text tool.

I had the same problem when I had Gimp.

And what'd you do? Dump it and get PS?

Yeah.

Try the trial version, and if you like it, buy it.
