its not my idea. its a standard php function.
as PU pointed out though, you could register some easily forgettable email address and password with hotmail or yahoo, have your account info moved to that address, and then mix up your password. all seems like alot of work though imho.

No, imo it should only be those accounts where people registered just to have whatever name, and then never used it again... if someone logs in to check their pm's, wouldnt they be recorded as being online?
