A perfect example of a forum where there was apparently a lot of interest but in reality there wasn't is the star trek forum...It has about 5 regular posters and had very little traffic.

I was going to mention that, but PR is a really nice fellow.

its probably going to end up getting absorbed in to another forum or part of the mass merge...

This sounds like a great idea. Moriarty has spoken. This will be presented at the next mod-con, at ten AM on the Saturday of the three-day weekend extravaganza with a special guest appearance of the most convincing wolverine cos-player ever.

Girls with large boobs shall bounce on trampolines for the entire time he reads my pre-written script while the disneyland fireworks go off above his head in a spectacle that only slightly falls short of the second coming of Christ.

At this point, Peach and Rex will walk on stage in full jedi garb and fight with wolverine, in an epic clash. After this, free tapioca-ball smoothies and victory will be rained down, (victory, the chief ingredient of Chuck-norris sperm, will be provided by the OTF.)

After this, we will all get wasted on Crown Royale while listening to the music of the beetles.

For having the idea of such a great party, Moriarty will be forgiven by the mods of all transgressions and crowned the king of the following threads:

Movie Trivia
Anime/Mango.
Foreign Cinema
Harry Potter
Transformers
The Conspiracy Forums

I have another suggestion. Being such a proactive observer of everything in existence, and also being a thorough know-it-all, but don't worry about it, god gave me license to be a know-it-all when he gave me the gift of actually knowing it all.

Ok. I put a period there even though I ended with a dependent clause. I want you to breathe that all in before I go on. For my own OCD and you grammar nazis out there, i will put a comma in before I go on.

, I have noticed we have a few redundant forums.

We could stand to merge some of the inactive ones (such as star trek with transformers with general sci-fi and star wars OT with starwars PT.

just a thought.

My first act as king will be to kill everyone who has ever posted in those threads. I will then make it impossible to click on the link without contracting a deadly and rare form of aids.

Consider it natural selection. And if I'm not crowned king soon, consider that my next suggestion.

😬 I feel it's time for the Terminator and Matrix forums to go as well,I mean we have a Sci Fi forum,so do we really need them? Matrix is old news now

I thought it has already been decided that all movie forums are merged together, no?

Or was that ust for Movie Genres Forums?

Everyone unanimously agreed that the Sci-Fi/Fastansy, CGI/Animation, Foreign Cinema, and Horror forums should be mass merged into the Movie Discussion Forum.

I'm of the opinion that some of the movie franchise forums like Terminator, Matrix, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Transformers should be mass merged, as well.

The larger forums like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, I really don't know about. I never go into here and I don't know how active they are, if at all.

😮‍💨 The only thing I'm worried about is if the transformers forum gets merged,for example, The movie forum could be getting Jammed with threads like ''Is Megatron stronger then Bumble bee?'' So I think with the merge we need new rules,Like sticking to 2 threads one for Transformers 1 and one for Transformers 2,so we dont get clogged with fanboy threads,I'm only using Transformers as an example,but you get what I mean?

I think the idea would be like the TV forum, where everything gets its own thread. That way everything isn't spread out and cluttered.

I don't fully understand why Harry Potter gets mentioned. I don't venture in that section, but there are still two movies in the making.

😎 I think maybe Harry potter and Lord of The rings should stay,I'm more aiming at the ''Matrix and Terminator'' ones

🙂 Yeah,but the thing is,if that gets merged,the movie forum is in danger off getting clogged with ''trekkies'' this is what I'm getting out

I think what Impediment said is sensible. I don't think having the smaller Genre forums in the MDF would be particularly problematic.

I have a suggestion... A reforming of the VG forum. Allowing multiple threads for hardware. And by this I don't mean just 3 threads (One for each console) I mean to allow people to talk about seperate things in seperate threads.

Also allow a more liberal approach to the software threads. Again, if the game is large and diverse enough to allow multiple threads... Let them happen.

So long as the threads aren't duplicates and remain about VGs they should be allowed.
