Isn't that the same thing as a free-bashing zone? The level of negativity would be astonishing.
My suggestion is that user-profiles be given something like a "notepad" or "blog" section. I use one section of my profile as a clipboard, of sorts, for anything that I want to be able to access later. For example, I ran across a name to Google later, as well as a reference to check, and a link to an article about induced Pluripotent (stem) cells all in one sitting. I didn't have time to look into all of that right then, so I copypasted them into my profile to investigate later. As those items were resolved by me I went back and erased them, or not, as they were resolved.
That is how it works for me now. However, I screwed up different parts of the vbcode I use to section things off more than once. That is really frustrating, especially with the two to three screens between getting to the editing and fixing the mistake. Zetaboards has a function that allows the user to "blog" that I've used for this same purpose. Could such a feature be tacked on here?
It's the internet and people are told that you are free to complain about whatever you want. Yes, I'm expecting a lot of bashing. Just because the moderators believe that we do our job well and fairly doesn't mean anyone else is going to want to agree with them (as evident in this thread).
Such an idea is pointless; we'll move on from that discussion.
I gotta side with the mods here. A complaint section is a sure fire recipe for disaster.
Personally, I think complaints should be done via pm's, to the moderator of your choice. For example, if someone has a complaint about the MVF, they should pm Impediment. If Impediment feels the complaint is valid and agrees with it, he should then take action.
That's just me though.
we need a thread about official listings of conventions and festivals. (movie related, as this is a movie forum)
Where it'll be, when it'll be, what famous people are going, etc etc.
because there are a lot of movie and movie genre specific conventions out there.

but it would have to be an "official listing" thread, that members could update with data about the cons, post links, share stories/photos. Because i know how people love to go to cons (and how they love to brag about it), and how sometimes we miss some that pass right though town (if you live in a big city, or under a rock.)
Perhaps somewhere on the movie boards, or you know, as it is news, maybe in the news & questions area,
Just an idea.

Edit: im assuming there isn't already one, and if there is then its never in use, or its hiding, If its hiding, have it come out from behind the tree or something.
