exactly...the thing about confidence is, is that it can disappear quickly, esp when things dont go as well as u believe they should.

hence when gladiator was beat by an octopus after 'destroying' a planet

Let's not forget Gladiator isnt exactly the smartest cookie out there.

You don't have to be smart to be confident...

Superman isn't exactly scary looking, and seeing as the first punch would do some good damage, Gladiator would only be getting stronger and faster as the beating continued.

Rather, Glad would get slower and weaker as the full confident blows barely moved him.

Superman actually held his own against Pre crisis superboy when the Time trapper released him. I don't think Glads can do any better... especially when he starts losing confidence. Glads himself isnt exactly scary looking either...and intelligence is a big factor in a fight.

I think Gladiator would take this. He's like Superman 2.0.

Except for a teenage Colossus who gave Gladiator hell by the way.

He did pretty good against Ego... Though that's overpowering him by a lot (or he was just confident 😉)He usually gets the upper hand against Thor as well.

You know....I would agree with that. Only thing is, he hasnt beat Thor has he?

He actually did beat him one time by kicking his hammer out of his hand. But in the rematch in the same issue Thor laid the smack down on his candy @ss.

Thor cheapshotted him with a Godforce while he was putting a plane down. Before that, Gladiator proved both fast and strong enough to kick Mjolnir out of Thor's hands.

Seeing as Superman Vs. Thor is undecided - if Gladiator can handle Thor he can most probably handle Superman.

That being a crossover... And with Thor coming out on top in their first encounter... Yeah.

I actually give Thor 7/10 against Supes.

Gladiator even said that Thor was too strong for him.
