He did it because he lost all sense of himself. If you remember from the show, whenever Kenshin got mad, he turned into the battousai. It's the same for Tim, but it seems it's worse for him for reasons unknown. The bad news is I don't plan to reveal the REAL truth about Tim till the last season (which is like chapter 250-260 out of 300-350). Well, till then, I'll keep posting.
Oh yeah, I forgot another chapter last night because usually I talk with one of my friends via AIM and I usually update this at that time. Well, here it is. Enjoy!!

Chapter 8:Anji-Part 1
(For 2 minutes, all 3 of them are just standing there saying nothing while a storm is coming in. Lightning is flashing every 10-20 seconds and Tim and Gohei are standing on the battlefield constantly staring at each other.)
Misao:Tim.....
Gohei:.......
Tim:........
(Lightning flashes brightly in the sky.)
Tim:Now, we finish this!!
Gohei:Yeah, with you and your ***** dead!!
Misao:AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Tim: SHUT UP!!!!!! You have threatened Misao long enough now it's time for you to go to hell!!!
Gohei:Fine then!! SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO!!!!!
(Tim jumps high into the air, with his sword held high)
Tim:Get ready to taste my Sword of Justice!!!
Gohei:What a stupid name!!
Tim:URRRAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
(Suddenly, a bolt of lightning strikes into Tim's sword, but doesn't seem to electrify him, then Tim prepares for the ultimate attack.)
Tim: DDDDDIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
(Tim swings his sword down, then diagonal both ways, then sideways forming waves of energy.)
Gohei:What.....the hell......is this?!
Tim:AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!(He yells then sends the waves of energy down to Gohei.)
Gohei:NNNNNNNOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!11
(The waves of energy crash into Gohei, then a blinding light follows. Then.....)
Misao: Ohhhhh....what happe.......OH MY GOD!!!!!!!
(Misao see's that the waves of energy CUT GOHEI IN PIECES!!!! There is blood and guts everywhere!!!)
Misao: (shocked)O..hhhh...hh..my g..ooo.....ddddd!!!!!
(Tim falls to the ground in exhaustion)
Misao:Tim!!!
(She runs to him)
Misao:Tim?! Are you alright?! Tim?!
(He's still out)
Misao: Oh, Tim.....I'm sorry.

(Tim is waking up)

(Misao points to the parts of Gohei)

Misao:Tim....If you don't think this is your destiny, then it isn't.

????: Oh sorry. I'm Anji. Pleased to meet you.
(Anji is a monk who used to work for Shishio in the Juppogatana when Kenshin fought him, but even though Tim took over to kill him this time, he's not part of it anymore. He has seen the evil of Shishio and has quit to work for him.)
Tim:Anji?! Oh yeah, you used to work for Shishio in the Juppogatana right, or do you still?
Anji: No, I quit. How do you know me anyway?
Tim: You wouldn't believe what I'll tell you, but you'll have too. Here's my story.
(Tim tells his story to both Anji and Misao)
Anji: My, what an interesting, yet strange story. How do you feel about all this?
Tim: How do you think I feel?! I'm forced to kill!!
Anji:Yes, that is sad.
Misao:Tim, I never heard your story like that.
Tim:It's alright.
Anji:Also, what happened here that made you get hurt?
Tim:I had a sword fight with someone.
Anji:Who was it?
Tim:His name was Gohei Hiruma.....
Anji:Was?! Did you kill this Gohei?!
Tim:Yes.....I used this sword technique on him and.....
(Anji notices the body parts)
Anji:You did that?!
Tim:Yes.....I'm sorry. I was angry because he threatened me and Misao.
Anji: So, what you're trying to say is that your anger overcame you?
Tim:Yes.
Anji:Well, compared with what I heard in your story, I am sorry for all that's happened. I hope you find your destiny soon enough. Before I go, I'll take care of your wounds.
(After about 10 minutes)
Anji: Okay, I'll take my leave. I hope we meet again. Farewell.

(They watch him wander into the forest)
Tim:By the way Misao, what were you saying before?

Last time: Tim killed Gohei with a new sword technique called the Sword of Justice. The aftereffects was Gohei being cut into pieces. After 5 hours of Tim being knocked out, a monk named Anji offered help, then took his leave. Now, we will revolve around Kenshin and the others for now.

Chapter 9:Rescue Suzume!!!
(At the same time we left Tim and Misao in the forest, Kenshin and the others are heading to the Akabeko for some beef stew and didn't know of the trouble they were about to run into. While everyone is talking, Ayame and Suzume are playing with a ball.)
Ayame and Suzume:Beef stew!! Beef stew!! Ha ha ha!!
Gensai: OK girls, calm down.
(Kenshin is quiet until.....)
Kaoru:Kenshin? Is something wrong?
Kenshin:I'm just worried about Tim. I hope he's alright.
Kaoru:He probably is.
Megumi:Let's not worry much about it. We should believe in him.
Kaoru:Yes. He is a tough kid.
Sano😖he's right.
Kenshin: (nods in agreement)
(After this conversation, we are shown Dr. Gensai, Ayame and Suzume a little ways back.)
Gensai:Come on guys, we should catch up.
Ayame and Suzume: Okay!!
(Ayame throws the ball a little too hard to Suzume and rolls past her. She goes to get it then all of a sudden, a gunman come's out of an alley and grabs her.)
Suzume:Ahhhhh!!!!!!
Kenshin: What was that?!
Kaoru:What happened?!
Gensai: OH NO!!! Where did Suzume go?!
Ayame: She was just here!!
Sanosuke:I'll go check it out!!
(Sanosuke runs back to where they heard the scream and turned into the alley. He kept going till he turned the corner and saw the gunman with the gun to Suzume's head. Suzume is crying.)
Gunman: HEH HEH!! You're just in time to see this little girl die! You know, I usually have people pay for watching people die, but I'll make this an exception.
Sanosuke:You bastard!! Why are you doing this?! She's just a little girl for Christ's sake!!
Gunman:I don't care who I kill!! I just do it!!
Sanosuke:I swear, if you shoot her, I'll kick your ass!!!

(Kenshin has jumped up into the air and is coming down with his sword at the ready.)

(He does just that, while the gunman is busy looking up at Kenshin.)

(Kenshin hits the gunman in the shoulder, close to the neck really hard and knocks him out.)
Kenshin:Hmmpphhh!!!! Good riddance!!

Sano:I'm sorry you had to go through that!!!
(Everyone shows up at the alley)
Gensai: Oh Suzume, I'm sorry.

(Tim and Misao are a few miles from the nearest village and are talking about their future together while eating food from the bag. But, that's all about to change because the danger is close!)
Misao:I never expected too marry someone so early in my life.
Tim:Yeah, me too.
Misao:Tim, I was wondering, how is it where you live?
Tim:Where should I start?
Misao:Anywhere.
Tim:Alright. First there is.......
(BOOM!!!!!)
Tim:Huh?!
Misao:What was that?!
Tim:It......sounded like a bomb!! Let's go see!!
(They run the few miles to the nearest village and are shocked by the scene they see.)
Misao: Oh my god!!!
Tim:This is.....terrible!!!
(The scene they see is horrific. It seemed like a huge bomb went off in the middle of the village and sent people flying, blowing off arms, legs, and for some of them, heads.)
Misao: Did......Shishio do this?!

????:Excuse me?!
Tim:Who's that?!
Misao: (she points to the left)Over there, Tim!! It's a little girl!!
(They go over to her.)

????:They're both about your height, with my mom having brown hair and my dad with black hair and a sword.

(Misao and Tim go look around the village for her parents and keep looking, till they see a sad sight. They see her parents dead, badly hurt, holding hands.)
Misao: Oh Tim, how are we going to tell that girl?
Tim:I.....don't know. We'll do our best.
(They return to the girl.)
????: So?!
Tim:......They're fine. They just can't move.
????:No, they're dead right?! RIGHT?!

(She starts crying)

Heather:I was playing outside the village while my parents were making dinner till I heard a bomb and I was almost killed. I would've if I was any closer.
Tim: Do you know who set it off?
Heather:This village is run by a bad man, Makoto Shishio, and I think someone broke his rules and the whole village was punished for it.
Tim:All because of a villager defying Shishio's laws?! What a bunch of bull!!
Heather:I know!! Shishio's laws are harsh, but now that our village is destroyed, they are no longer in affect! Oh, and also, is there anyone else alive?
Tim:I don't think so, Heather. I think you're the only survivor.
Heather:That means....my family, friends, neighbors?! They're all gone?!(cries)
Misao:It's alright. Don't worry.(Tim suddenly get's up)Tim? What is it?
Tim:We have company.

(A figure appears on the horizon then becomes clear.)

Sojiro:I just came to give you a message from Master Shishio. He says that he thinks you're ready to fight him now.
Tim: So he thinks I'm ready NOW, huh?
Sojiro:He says he'll be waiting for you in the woods up ahead three miles. Enjoy!!(He leaves)
Tim: (to himself)Hhhmpph!!! Yeah right, enjoy my ass!!
Misao:Tim?

Misao:Tim, are you alright?
Tim:Misao.......I'm going to go fight him now.

(A storm is brewing as Tim heads into the forest where the powerful Shishio awaits the challenge he will give him. Now, we shall begin!!)
(Tim is just entering the woods)
Tim:I wonder where he is? He should be around here somewhere.
(He keeps walking till he comes too a clearing with nothing but trees and brush)
Tim: Shishio?! I know you're here! Come out, NOW!!!
(Suddenly Shishio falls from the trees and get's his sword ready to try and chop Tim in two, but Tim jumps back)
Shishio: So, you showed up?
Tim:......Yes!!
Shishio:I've been watching you, and I think you are ready, even after you used that technique against Gohei Hiruma. That was pretty amazing.
Tim:I wasn't myself at that time. I was a madman. I was an assassin. I was......a battousai.
Shishio:Yes, that's what I saw in you in the very beginning!
Tim:Just how freaking long have you been watching me?!
Shishio:......All your life.
Tim: (shocked)What?! But how?!
Shishio:It's a secret.

Shishio:But from what you've seen, I always seem to have the advantage later in the battle.

(Shishio is at the ready for a powerful attack.)

(Shishio stands up straight, then extends his sword out. Tim is curious about what is about to happen.)

Tim: This is his technique?! Heh, piece of cake!!
(Tim dodges out of the way while Shishio tries to hit him, but suddenly, Shishio turns the other way towards Tim while his back is too him.)

(Tim suddenly tries to turn to the right, but is too late. Instead of his head being cut off, he is slashed across the back really hard.)

(Suddenly, back at the village)
Misao: (to herself)Oh no, that was Tim!!
Heather:What's wrong?
Misao: Oh......nothing. Everythings alright. (Then to herself) ..........Tim.

Heather:Why?
Misao:......Well......It was.....just something he had to do by himself.

Misao: (to herself)Oh, Tim. I hope nothing bad happened to you.
Heather:I got something else to say.
Misao:What is it?
Heather:I don't have any family or friends left and you are the only two I trust right now, so I was wondering if you could possibly be.....my parents?

(Suddenly, we are shown Tim in what looks like a dream. A mere voice is calling out to him)

Dad:We know you have been killed right now, but you can't give up now, even when your wife is waiting for you.
Tim:My......wife?
Dad:Yes, she is by your side right now, crying her heart out for you.
Tim:I'm sorry. I am dead now. There's nothing else to do.
Dad:We can help you.
Tim:Huh?! What do you mean?!
Dad:We can bring you back to life.
Tim:You can, really?!
Dad:Yes, but only this once.
Tim:Thanks dad!!(crying)I'll never forget this, and bye to you too, mom.

(Back to Misao, crying over Tim's body)
Misao: Oh Tim, I'm so sorry.
Tim: (weakly)Misao.......?
Misao: (sniff)Huh?
Tim:Misao?
Misao:Tim?! Tim, are you alright?!
Tim:I......love you.
Misao:Heh!!(crying)I love you too, Tim!! I love you too!!
(Misao hugs him)
Tim: (slowly sits up)I have to tell you.......something.
Misao:What?
Tim:I'm not going to die.
Misao:Huh?! But how?!
Tim:I just had a realistic dream with my mom and dad in it.
Misao:What happened in it?
(Tim tells his story)
Misao: So, you're not going to die?
Tim:No.
Misao:That's great, Tim!! But your wound.
Tim:It doesn't hurt anymore.
Misao:And also, you lost a lot of blood.
Tim: Somehow, after the dream, I've been revived.
Misao:This must be a miracle.
Tim:Yeah, probably.(He slowly get's up)
Misao:Tim?
Tim:I'm alright.(then to himself)Thanks mom and dad. I know you're looking over me during this time......of sorrow.

Chapter 14: Sojiro's Past
(Back in the village)
Heather:Hey, you're back.
Misao:Hi Heather, doing well?
Heather: After some food, I felt better.
Misao:That's good. (then to Tim) Tim, I decided maybe we could take care of her.
Tim:What?! Are you crazy?! She doesn't need to see more violence!!
Misao:But she has nowhere else to go.
Tim:I know that, but we can't have her see me you-know-what?!
Misao:Tim, please. I know it wouldn't be good for her too see you do what you've been doing, but something bad can happen to her if we just leave her here.
Tim:..........
Misao: So, could we take her?
Tim:...........
Heather: Please, Tim!!
Tim:Uuhhhh.......I'll think about it, okay? We'll take her for now.
Misao:Thanks, Tim!!
Heather:Thanks, Tim!!
Tim: (smiles)Alright! We should get going! Let's go!
(Tim, Misao, and Heather leave the village heading for Kyoto.)
(15 miles away from the village)
Tim:Misao, what else do we have left in the bag to eat?
Misao: Let's see, we have bread, corn, fish, and........
(There's a sound in the brush)
Heather:Aaah!! What's that?!
Tim:It better not be who I think it is!!
Misao:Tim.......is it....?
Tim:It might be Shishio again!!
Heather:AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Misao:Heather, it's alright!!
Tim:Who's there?! Show yourself!!
????: OK, I'm coming out!!
(Then.....)
Tim:It's you!!
Misao: Sojiro!!
Sojiro:Hi! Nice to meet you again!
Tim:Ummm......hi. What do you want?
Sojiro:I just......wanted to talk, but first.
(He heads towards Heather)
Tim:What are you doing?! Stay away from her!!
Heather:Hi!!
Sojiro:Hm hm hm!!
Tim:I mean it, Sojiro!! You better stay away from here!!
(Sojiro reaches into his pocket)
Misao:NO!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!
(Sojiro suddenly pulls out a wooden duck)
Heather:Heh!!
Sojiro:Here, this is for you!
Heather:Thanks, mister!!
Sojiro:I like kids when they're happy.
Tim:HUH?!
Misao:Weird!
Sojiro:You're probably wondering why I just did that. Well, I'm nice to kids. I don't hurt any of them.
Tim:Well, that's nice of you.
Sojiro:Yeah.
(Silence for 10 seconds)
Sojiro:Anyhow, you're probably wondering why I'm here?
Tim:Why is that?
Sojiro:Remember, we still have a battle to fight.
Tim:..........
Sojiro: So, shall we start?
Tim: Of course, but first......Misao, take Heather and head for Kyoto. I'll wait for you there.
Misao:But, Tim?
Tim: Please Misao!! I'll wait for you there!! I promise!!
Misao:Tim........
Tim:I won't allow myself to die again!
Misao:........Okay. I'll go, but please come back alive!!
Tim:Right!!
(Misao and Heather leave)
Sojiro:You have very nice friends.
Tim:Yes.....I do, and I intend on keeping them, no matter what.
Sojiro:Friends are nice.
Tim:Yes, they are.
Sojiro:But, you'll have to beat me to see them again, I'm sorry to say.
Tim:Are these orders from Shishio?
Sojiro:Why, yes they are.
Tim:Why do you listen to him?
Sojiro:Because he's my master.
Tim: Sojiro.....I know of your sad past, and I want to say you might've had a better life if you didn't join Shishio.
Sojiro:What do you know?!
Tim:Well, I know that your family used to abuse you and punish you for no reason. They also made you work all the time. Then, one day, you met Shishio, who was killing policemen, then he threatened you because he knew he saw you kill them, but because you were smiling, even when in danger, he thought you were a peculiar boy, so he spared your life. He then asked for shelter from the police and you did, but you got in trouble later because your family saw that they were running out of rice quickly, and they were thinknig that you were hiding someone or something from him. They then found out that you were hiding him from the police, then tried to kill you. You were lucky to have a sword Shishio gave you because when you hid under the house from your family then your brother came to get you, he tried to kill you, then you cut his head off. You then crawled out and killed the rest of your family. It was raining at the time and it made it look like you were crying, which Shishio asked, and you said no. No, because you didn't feel any sorrow of the death of your family because of what they did to you. Shishio saw something in you and decided to take you with him. And that's......your story.
Sojiro:You sure did pretty well. Excellent!!
Tim:Why, thank you.
Sojiro:But, I still have to fight you, because unless I don't Master Shishio will kill me.
Tim:Uhhh.......
Sojiro:Yes, that's the truth.
Tim:Boy.......I'm sorry.
Sojiro:Yes, so can we please get on with the fight, and fight honorably?
Tim: Of course.
(They get ready)
Sojiro:Good luck to the both of us.
Tim: Same here.
(They charge and get ready for the final bout between two sad swordsmen.)

Chapter 15: Sojiro vs. Tim:Round 2
(Misao and Heather are resting about 5 miles from where Tim and Sojiro are fighting.)
Heather:Misao? What's Tim doing?
Misao:He's......just playing with that boy. He'll be back in a while.
Heather: Okay!
Misao: (to herself)Tim, don't let what happened to you with Shishio happen again with Sojiro. You have to be careful.
(Back to the fight)
Sojiro and Tim:AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Just like in the last battle, they charge each other and cross swords. They're both going every which way avioiding each others attacks for about a minute or two till they stop, both breathless.)
Sojiro:You have......gotten better.
Tim: So have....you.
Sojiro:I don't see how you had trouble against Master Shishio. I'm as strong as him and you still had trouble. I'd say your battles haven't been going in the right direction.
Tim:I intend to get better.
Sojiro:You better, so you'd be prepared for anything.
Tim:I'll do just that.
(Another charge, without seeing no sight of them. Then they're on opposite sides from where they started.)
Sojiro:You sure have improved your speed. I'm impressed.
Tim:Thanks!!
Sojiro: Shall we try out our new techniques?
Tim:What do you mean?
Sojiro:This.
(Sojiro extends his sword out and stands there, seeming to collect energy for the attack.)
Tim:What are you going to do?!
Sojiro:You'll see.
(Energy is still collecting as Sojiro is standing there, laughing)
Tim: (to himself) Oh boy, I better be prepared!!
(Light starts showing up at the edge of Sojiro's sword)
Tim: (to himself)Shit!! This isn't good!!
Sojiro:This technique will be a "piercing" one. Heh heh heh!!!
Tim: Piercing?!
(Suddenly, the light from the edge of the sword turns into a knife-like shape and then is sent to Tim)
Sojiro:Enjoy!!
Tim: Damn!!
(Tim dodges to the left to avoid it)
Sojiro:You won't dodge these for long.
Tim:Uhhhh!!!!!!
(Another one. Tim dodges to the right)
Tim: (to himself)If this goes on, I might be killed.
(And so it does, for a good minute, Sojiro releases energy knife after energy knife as Tim dodges as best he can, going every which way. Then, he suddenly trips as one is coming his way then it scrapes his elbow.)
Tim: Damn!! Those hurt!!
Sojiro:You've lasted longer than I expected. Lucky it was just your elbow.
Tim:Uughh!!
Sojiro:Now, for your heart!!
Tim:Uhhh......!!!!
(Sojiro releases another one)
Tim:I......don't think so!!!
(Tim swings his sword and cuts the energy knife in half)
Sojiro:Impressive!!
(Tim get's back on his feet)
Sojiro:My technique is getting old. I think we should move on to melee fighting.
Tim:Fighting with our hands, huh? Sounds interesting!!
(They both put their swords away in their sheathes and raise their fists)
Sojiro:We shall begin.......on your mark.

Last time: Sojiro and Tim started their second round of fighting. They started by charging and avoiding each other sword attacks, till Sojiro decided to inleash a new technique. Sojiro collected energy to send to the edge of his sword to make energy knives that shot out towards Tim. For about 3 minutes, Tim avoided all of them till accidently tripping and getting scraped in the arm by one. Sojiro thought that his technique was getting old so he decided to have a melee fight:fist to fist. The battle continues!!!
Act II:A Journey Once Taken
Chapter 16: Defeat
Sojiro:We shall begin......on your mark!!
Tim:Right!!
(Facedown for about 15 seconds)
Tim:Here I come!!
(Charges)
Tim:Take this!!
(Swings his fist at Sojiro, but misses)
Tim:Hold......still!!!
(Tries again, but misses)
Sojiro: Sorry to say, but you're too slow.
Tim:No......I'm.....not!!!
(Again and again and again)
Tim: Dammit!! Uhh....!!!
(Sojiro suddenly strikes back with a hard blow to the stomach. Tim pukes up blood)
Tim:Aaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!
Sojiro:You let your guard down.
Tim:I.....know that! (cough)
Sojiro:I'll give you time to recuperate.
Tim:Alright. (to himself)You know, even in battle, he's honest. Deep down, he has a pure heart. From learning of his horrible past, I'd hope he wouldn't be a merciless killer, and I was right.)
Sojiro:Ready?
Tim:Yes, but I have a question.
Sojiro:What is it, may I ask?
Tim:Could you, after this, become my friend?
Sojiro:Your......friend?
Tim:Yes, I know you'd like one.
Sojiro:A friend?
Sojiro: So how about it?
Sojiro:I.......
Tim: Please?
Sojiro:I'll.....think about it.
Tim:Thanks!!
Sojiro: So, shall we finish our fight?
Tim: Of course.
(They get ready)
Sojiro:May the best man win.
Tim: Same here.
(Misao and Heather)
Heather:Is there any food?
Misao:Yeah. Want some bread?
Heather: Okay.
(Misao hands Heather bread)
Misao:Good?
Heather:Yeah!!
Misao:Hmmm.....(to herself)I hope you're alright Tim. Heather would need you in the future.....as a dad.
(The fight)
(More fast dodging and punching with some blood flying. They then stop. Both are laughing.)
Sojiro:Heh! Good fight!
Tim:Yes, it is!
(Laughing)
Sojiro:How long do you think this will go on?
Tim:Not sure.
Sojiro:We shall see soon.
(They both smile)
Tim:How about....one final charge?
Sojiro: Sounds good to me!
(Charging)
Tim:The winner will be chosen here!
Sojiro:Right!!
(When they get close to each other, they swing their fists, but Tim quickly dodges Sojiro's and appears behind him and hit's him in the back of the neck, knocking him out. He then stands there for a minute, then......)
Tim: (smiling)That was a good fight Sojiro. I'll see you later......friend.
(And Tim leaves, as the proud warrior he is)
(We are now back to Misao and Heather, who are sleeping)
Misao: (talking in her sleep) Stop ignoring me knucklehead.......
(Tim walks up to her)
Tim:Hey ummmm, Misao?
Misao: Stop ignoring me!!
(She slugs Tim and sends him flying)
Misao: (waking up)Huh? Uhh.......what happened? (She then see's Tim knocked out) Oh Tim, what happened?!
(He's still knocked out) Wake up, idiot!! (She slaps him)
Tim😮w!!! Jeez, you think I felt enough pain?!
Misao:Tim!!(she hugs him) So, how did it go?
Tim:I knocked him out.
Misao:You did?
Tim:Yeah. Another thing is we decided to become friends after the battle was over, and I won when we decided to melee fight. I got him in the neck. He'll wake up sooner or later.
Misao: So he's not a threat anymore?
Tim:I doubt it.
Misao:That's good.
Tim: (looking at Heather) Sleeping, huh?
Misao: She's been out for a while since eating some bread.
Tim:Well, we're almost to Kyoto. We better get going before something else happens.
Misao:Right!!
(And so they shall. Kyoto is only a mere 10 miles away and they are almost there, but what danger awaits them there?)
