Final Fantasy XII

I really wouldn't worry too much on the "buying items you don't have the license for" thing. I do it all the time, because I might know that I'll be able to get that license soon, but won't be able to go back and buy that item/weapon but might need it.

Don't worry about it, Sats. When I started I threw points into some pretty bad licenses, the worst that will happen is that you'll want to grind a bit more than normal to get more points to get the better licenses you missed by screwing up. It really isn't a big deal at all. You get so many license point throughout the game that you'll be able to get all the good ones pretty quick.

tyvm for the tips 😄

another thing is that the gun / bow that both fran and balthier wield seem to suck and have way too long of an attack warmup... is there anyway to make that better?.. or is it recommended to give them a melee weapon?

I kept them both using their respective weapon throughout the game, mostly for flying enemies.

Gun's are really strong, they ignore armor completely and never miss, and they are slow but they do tons of damage later on.

The bow is good too.

I kept Fran with her Bow and just upgraded to stronger ones as I went along.

Balthier's guns are just way too weak so I gave him a much better weapon.

Balthier I have using a pole, until I can get his stronger guns. I have all the licenses for them.

Fran I still use a bow with, and I also have Vaan use a crossbow when I come across flying enemies (as Fran, Balthier and Penelo are about 20 levels behind. Oops).

And Sats, if you're looking to gain a ton of LP fast, there's an accessory you can buy (I think I bought it in the Eruyt Village), called the Golden Amulet, the license for it is in Accessories 8. Get it, it's well worth the gil, and it gives you double LP. I bought one and have been swapping it around my main three characters.

You can give the Golden Amulet to the three bench Characters, and they would still get the effects which is great.

Has anyone else gotten the Zodiac Spear?

Yeah. I have 3 Golden Amulets and 3 of the other items that double EXP points.

So I have the Double EXP. on my 3 main fighters and the 3 Golden Amulets to my background players.

And Lana, my background characters are also like 20 levels behind, so you're not alone.

I hate it, but it just couldn't be helped without waisting hours away fighting with JUST them and not progressing in the game for who knows how long.

They're just too far gone.

Their Quickenings make up for it though.

Is it just me or is this game not being as Publicly recognized as previous Final Fantasy Games such as "X" and "X-2"?

Did Final Fantasy "X" commercials come on most TV stations? Can't remember.

But yeah. I feel as if this game may have just came and went which I'm not used to. I may be wrong though.

I've seen tons of FFXII commercials since release, they're still coming on regularly whenever I watch TV.

I've never really seen any, but I also never really watch TV. I've seen a few during Adult Swim and such though.

I saw it being played a lot on the G4 Network one day and like twice on Adult Swim.

I don't know.

Maybe I'm exaggerating then. I thought I remembered seeing other Final Fantasy Commercials on Network Television, maybe not.

It's played on Network Television.

is there a gambit that recognizes when a skill is already used on someone, thus switching to a new enemy to perform that skill on?

i.e. : I have fran steal on someone, she succeeds, but then proceeds to steal again failing over and over

I was going to try to make a gambit for her to blind enemies before attacking.. but maybe I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth?.. 😖

Maybe the Gambit "Foe = 100% HP" would work for that? I mean, once she's done stealing, chances are someone would have damaged that enemy.

I dunno, skills like Steal I don't bother actually using a Gambit for, I just directly tell the characters to do that.

I hardly use my gambits or spend anytime purchasing them.

The only ones I use are the "Attack closest enemy" or "Attack enemy that's targeting leader".

PLZZ HELPP - Final Fantasy IIX

Guys, I have a problem... I'm leveling at Lhusu mines and Vaan got silenced by one of the monsters. I saved 'cause i had to go, opened the game about an hour later and continued playing normally, leveling and gathering items. I used some items and also cast Vox to cure Vaan's Silence, but the magic/item always miss; I cant get rid of this damn Silence spell. Is there anything else I could do to cure it? If Vaan gets K.O.'d, does the effect go away? Plz help.
Thanks.

Yes, I think if he get's KO'd it goes away.

Its weird that silence and other status stuff can last permanently

is there a more effective way to remove "X-Zone" than being cured at a crystal?

from the looks of the status description, it seems to be the godliest debuff in the game >_>

how do you make "souleater" do more damage? right now its taking 140 something HP to do only 43 damage.. 🤨
