George W Bush

He was saying that for not liking Bush he would get arrested, and I said that he said he didn't like Bush and he didn't get arrested so he was wrong...you guys saying Bush is like Hitler and imperialistic...look at Saddam...Bush is nothing of the sort...Look who your trying to back up...a murderer, or a President you don't like-and are going beyond what is normal to dislike in him...

I agree with most of Linkalicious's points, even if he doesn't like Bush...

But at least he goes about it in a cool, reserved manner. I don't like Kerry, but I don't bash him and compare him to Hitler.

I think Bush is a good president, and I will be voting for him in the upcoming election. 🙂

i think Bush has done mostly right things in this situation
he removed a dictator from power, a person who was a proven mass murderer and clearly unfit for power.

he put in a new government, sure it was a government of his choice...but its a decent government, with democracy and benefits for Iraq.

he's got oil in the back of his mind, but who cares? - he buys oil off Iraq...he was already i think, just now he can make sure that the money he gives them for it goes towards decent things rather than decorating Saddam's palaces.

hes done all the right things he could, hes not done them well by any means, but he's slowly getting the job done

but you can't just "force justice" on countries selectively--why did we go to Iraq instead of Zimbabwe?

We went because Bush was impatient and didn't want to wait to see if there were WMDs...which now we know that there aren't.

yea, would u want to sit around waiting if u suspected a country had WMD's?
he used an excuse to get into Iraq, ur treating it like he went in there for no good reason..

they were suspected to have WMD's
the iraqi ppl were being abused badly!
Saddam was a danger to his own country, surrounding countries, and ultimately world peace

suspicion isn't enough, you need some sort of evidence, if every country suspected of having wmd's was invaded that'd be half the developed countries on the planet

sowwie just've got a piccie bag

but if you narrow it down to.

a.) countries that hate the United States
b.) countries with corrupt, dictatorships
c.) and have weapons of mass destruction.

You're left with like 3 or 4 countries in the whole world....

I think this whole venture would have been more successful if the Iraqi people were the ones who overthrew Saddam and forced change themselves...but democracy has proven to work better than dictatorships throughout history.

I don't particularly like how the US gets to pick and choose the officals to be voted in for election, but AFTER this initial group has served their term, I think the new batch, that is brought forth solely by Iraqis will help show that what the US did was ultimately for the better good of Iraq, it's people, and the entire world.

I THINK>

yeah, sure, but there were countries a lot more dangerous to america than iraq.

I think the new batch, that is brought forth solely by Iraqis will help show that what the US did was ultimately for the better good of Iraq, it's people, and the entire world.

maybe they will, or maybe they'll be another puppet government, as for the entire world thing, i don't think that's correct at all, iraq was not a threat to any country but themselves, it has nothing to do with the rest of the world's safety.

I didn't mean that Iraq posses a threat to the entire world. I meant that now a whole country worth of people have the opportunity to live their lives without fear of a corrupt dictator.

The only way the notion of "world peace" will ever happen, is if people are aloud to live their lives without fear of their government's harsh punishment brought forth by said corrupt dictator.

I see such freedoms to run right along side, blacks, women, and homosexuals obtaining all the freedoms they have obtained over the last...i dunno...say 100 years.

as bad as it sounds i cannot see a utopia happening, there will always be bigots, racists and dictators, i would love to see it, but unfortunately i can't see it, which is a shame cos i know what its like to be discriminated against.

theyre a threat to every surrounding country, namely iran and kuwait

aswell as funding terrorism which is a global threat

they haventy been a threat to those since the gulf war, and saddam hadn't the military capability to invade either one of those

funding terrorism? who?

i agree with ppl who say that bush is slowly gettin the job done BUT i think they shouldnt, i mean y do they have to play the 'mother' of the world, arranging new countres... etc. i mean is like MIND URE OWN BUISNESS!!

do you honestly believe that the world would be a better place if the United States "minded their own business" ?

Think of all the good they do, before you go chastizing them for the evils they do. Some nations are dependent on the different types of help, support, and resources provided by the United States.

should we mind our own business when it comes to spending billions of dollas on AIDs medication in South Africa?

Bush is not getting anything done 👇 Hes leashing American people of their freedom by using their fear to convince them that its for their own good.

And everyone who doesnt complain...isnt that the greatest power Bush has over you, to stop you from complaining and agree. He stoped you from seeking an alternative and accepting the role you are given.
Protest is Patriotism!

🙄

really...so what exactly is going on in Iraq?

please....tell us.
