1-dem side: well, hes on tv again, he's threatening an attack again, and he is obviously not stripped of his power and 'on the run' as dubya put it.
2-rep side: people who are scared do not want change.
its a simple fact of psychology. people who feel that things are too unstable do not want to change presidents. why exactly i cannot understand...but the mentallity seems to be "well...we survived 4 years of bush (emphasis on survived) so maybe we will survive 4 more.

In total actuality, any forgein threat sides for the president... it shifts attention from Iraq to the general terorist campaign. That is why the news at first were giving Kerry's quote orally by the reporter and they showed Bush's press note from his own words.
