If ya read my earlier post, I said, i didn't think watching good vs evil movies were wrong, But what I really didn't like about hp was the schools name & the movie is based around witchcraft. 🙂

but lord of the rings is pretty much good v evil, but then again so is harry potter...they both have wizards with magical powers, and i mean the evil guy in LotR can control peoples minds and BREED foul creatures

disneys the best lol 🙂 me and my friend are planning a disney night/day its gonna be fun

I don't watch any of the movies you've listed, except for LOTR. It was a movie about good vs evil. But the whole movie was centered around a witchcraft school that teaches kids witchcraft, thats what i don't like about the movie. 🙂

ummm Yes, sorry I missed the cinderella one 😄 We've watched that, of course I have 2 boys so, 😆 it's not their cup of tea, but how ever I dont care for the cats name in cinderella. 🙂

I've already said I don't thk there's anything wrng w/good vs evil movies, hp is set around witchcraft then entire movie. Thats what the movie is about, the schools name gives it away LOL 😄

lol she is right, but i do wish you would read the book, you would see it is a good vs evil book. The witchcraft is not real and its obvious. Sure its made to show that magic is real in real life, but even the headmaster at hogwarts says and I quote "Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here" It shows in more places then one that magic is not done with waving of wands, but what happens everyday

I use to love Harry but now I've just kind of gone off the books, I guess you could say for me, I've grown past these books. Though I'm eager to see what happens in future books.

ok well, lets say you take away the "school of witchcraft and wizardry" part of the school name, and it was just Hogwarts...that wouldnt give any of it away. if you take away all the names of things and look past the names of the spells (that are just latin anyway)...what do you have? you have the idealistic common good versus evil story like you said for LotR.
