it was you who said many have come close to proving the existense of God I asked WHO, you named Augustine, and then I asked how did he came close to prove the existence of god. Do you know anything at all about what you are posting or are you merly posting random statements without having anything to back them up by.

fint, as far as I know, the closest Augustine came was "credo ut intelligam"... something translated into "I believe to understand"

in other words: you believe to get wisdom and such ... definitly not the way to go and think on your own

I believe most of the bible is false also but I believe in a higher power. Who could have created the world. Not itself. who could have created us into the beings we are now. How could the earth be put into such perfect position to support life.

Do you have any idea how big the universe is? I'll tell you. Really bloody big. As in, infinitely big. With millions of millions of stars. I'd say it would be a fluke if there weren't places that could support life.

Augustine on the other hand argued that God is truth therfore he is in us , but at the same time is higher then us because of his eternal life. also god is perfect can he not have created himself. And from his thoughts created everything else.

But what created that life from nothing to something?

of course earth is in a perfect position to support life, that's why we are here! why do you think there is no life on the other planets in our system (up till now)? because it isn't in the perfect position... MILLIONS of planets aren't, they don't have life, it's just normal thinking you have to show here
