The Official Symbiote Thread

For those who haven't read it, Chosen Shadow is the author of "Happy Birthday," a phenomonal symfanfic featuring Venom.
Mom- I think the only dialogue better than Spidey's in SymHolocaust is Kasady's. His every line in the bedroom scenes reflects that self-aggrandizing, narcissistic person that I've always seen him as.
And the line about the "little webshooter..." LOLOLOL.
Everything is funny and unsettling at the same time. And wait till you get to chapter seven- I can just picture Kasady's face and posture. The whole scene/situation is fully horrific. I can see him... he's never looked more like a nightmare...a fever dream of red...
Do you understand now just how interesting a charactor Kasady can be in his simplicity, his banality, his realism?

Oh, I read it all yesterday, and it was great. That guy knows his Cletus, that's for sure. I loved the webshooter line, too. Thought it was among the best of them.
Yes. I understand about Kasady's personality, and I'll admit that the story did endear him to him a bit more than I'm accustomed, but there's only room here for one fevered Carnage fan--and I can't think of anyone better suited for that job than you.

He just dropped me a line and I invited him here. Hopefully he'll pop in. He says he had "forgotten" the story and hadn't revisited it in a year! Where it is at now is climactic, it could almost be a dark ending- but naturally we'd all like to see Spidey somehow escape this certain death.

Don't you agree, Romero must have been an influence? Perhaps he had recently watched DawnOTDead when this fic began to incubate inside him... The descriptions evoke the same kind of confrontational death and loss-of-soul that faces us, no- assaults us, in the Dead trilogy.

Oh, Hell, you're a Romero fan, too? At the risk of sounding totally bisexual here, I gotta say, I effin love you, girl. Did you see the remake? I've watched it 6 times. Normally, I don't like remakes, but I dare say this one was fabulous.

I'd be surprised if Blaque Cell didn't join us--you are a pretty engaging woman

People liked Symbiote Holocaust? I was drunk when I wrote it!
Seriously, though, I'm glad people liked it. Thanks to Fever Red for inviting me here.

I f*cking loved it. I thought it was wonderfully written, and both funny and frightening.

What are you talking about? You didn't get it, fox? I typed that damned thing twice. But, I'm glad I lost the first, I think I was happier with the second. You really didn't get it? I sent it to you four or five days ago.

Certainly not. But it seems that you and fever red both share the same sort of fondness for the offspring known as Carnage. Even I came away from your story a liking him a bit more, and that's saying alot.

I've noticed that many Venom fans don't like Carnage, and vice-versa. But in reality, you'd be surprised. Venom is actually my favorite villain. I already have a few story ideas for him. Might not be as graphically violent as SC was, but I still think I'm about ready to write my little Venom tale.

Yes, yes, yes!!! Please?!?

"SILENCE, JESSIE. WE'RE NOT SURE WE WANT YOU BEGGING FOR STORIES FROM A MAN WHO WOULD CALL US A VILLAIN!"

Shut it, symbiote. I'm in charge here. Without me, there is no "us". And I'll decide who I beg, and for what.
I'd love it if you wrote one. If your other work is any indication, I think we'd all be in for a big treat. So, please consider it.

And I can't wait until Red sees that you've joined. Yay! She'll be ecstatic.

Our numbers are steadily increasing. My Yahoo! Group has twenty-one (21) members! I can't believe it.

Bad S, I was under the impression Rouge #2 came out the 18 of August.

Estatic doesn't cover it.
And I insist on being married in head-to-toe-red.
Mom, I haven't seen the Romero Remake of Dawn. Life got busy at me just then- I was opening a little ol' massage business back then. Kept saying, we'll see the Dead this weekend, I promise, but finally all my pals got wise and went without me. It isn't in the vid store yet, and the clerks are getting surlier every time I ask.
What I found cheifly justified the Night remake in the eighties was how it confronted you with sexist bigotry just as the orig did with racism, so now we have TWO NightOTLDead zombie films with serious social themes- and everybody knows, there's no better way to explore society than the living dead. Zombies are a prereq for serious film!
And serious fanfic, of course.
Say, Blaque Cell, I kind of anticipated Venom swinging to the rescue in SymHolocaust. Just how else could Spidey possibly get out of the frying pan? Its always V who ultimately quashes poor wittle Clete's fun. I hope you someday write more- but for now, I actually kind of like the open ending- it gives my imagination time to play more in your world.
See, Paola? I'm on topic. I am, I am.

We've got to send Blaque Cell alcohal- lots and lots of alcohal- if that's what helps him write.
A new CAUSE- getting him sloshed.
Perhaps a recipe for Brains Flambe with Chocolate Liqour?- your turn in the kitchen with Martha, Bad S.
Remember, if she's not "innocent," she's fair game for you, too.

Oh, my> You're right. I added an extra week--All of those books will be out on the 18th. Thanks for noticing. Oooh--that means less than a week!
God, I'm happy to be wrong about that!!!! Thanks, scibott.
--Sometimes, I'm so woefully inept that it even surprises me.
Thanks again.

Zombie movies AND cartoons. Another passion of mine. Animation never gets the credit it deserves as a form of cinema. The thing I love most about it is, just like fan-fic, you're only limited by your imagination. Hey--you and Blaque Cell are kind of like the hero and heroin from the "Night" remake. Except that he turns into a zombie at the end...

And, I guess to facilitate that Venom story happening, I'd be very open to getting Blaque Cell tanked. Whatever it takes. I'm highly motivated.

It's beer bong time.
Gagh! Teenage flashbacks!
