um also no offence juntai but the fact is the comic you were talking about is the one i just showed scans of and well you should prob read more then just that page like a few page after that maybe. about how it clearly states and shows it does do damage to sups and that batman saved superman becuse batman came in and found the real kyle that was uniconscious and then at that moment the construct kyle stoped shoting superman .
then it shows the real kyle wakeing up and saying to sup and i quote

btw supes couldn't take on kyle NOW. he's taken out an entire fleet and world without realising it, as he's still getting used to the power.

Superman could use the ring if he wanted, Superman isn't dumb. In a recent comic Superman has gained Super intelligence again. Something to do with his powers returning after being gone for a year. Also Superman is said to have one of the strongest wills in the DC Universe.
Besides in the One Year Later books Hal offers Superman a Green Lantern Ring. If Superman can't harness the power of a GL ring then why would Hal offer him the ring?
