Art of revenge of the sith brings hyperspace members a first glance at designs from the upcoming blockbuster. i took the priveledge of posting the first one.

it kinda looks like a mix of WWII SBD Dauntless fighter aircraft, and some of the prototypes towards the end of the war....

Did anybody ever play Shadows Of The Empire on the N64 - or read the story?

I swear that X-Wing-lite ship looks like one of Prince Xizors fleet of fighter ships. That's what it reminds me of, only they were silver.

I wanna see more angles, sharp corners, and more industrious looking markings.

I'm seriously sick to death of this contrived rubbish, with fancy curves and TOO MUCH thought being put into it. I wanna see blocky, simple, thrown together vehicles like the Y-Wings and TIE Fighters

It doesn't look Star Wars-y anymore. None of the PT vehicles or ships made me think "Star Wars". They looked Sci-Fi, Star Trek, Matrix - anything but Star Wars.

I know that it's all about the "degradation" of the Universe - but as a Star Wars fan, I wanna see these old school designs - not this contrived silliness.

Instead of trying to make new iconic ships like the X-Wings - Lucas has made every single fan LOOK FORWARD to seeing the X-Wings instead. It's like "The fans hate this new stuff so I better use some of the OT stuff". The PT was a brilliant opportunity to expand the iconic catalogue of ships and vehicles, but only served to make the X-Wings and Tie Fighters, and all the OT stuff that bit more cooler - because Lucas failed so much in trying to create the new iconic Star Wars ship - what we got was those awful Naboo Starfighters, the wimpy Jedi Fighter and those horrible Clone Dropships.

Because of this, whenever Lucas pays homage to the OT - like when he has the old 80's style Landspeeders - they look completely out of place next to the slick "new" designs.
Sorry for the rant - just a fan of simplicity.

Bang on red, i was wondering what that reminded me of, i agree mostly with what youve said but a lot of the designs coming through are moving towards the industrial look, like the new jedi starfighters and the ventor class ships and the vastness of the different races are going to throw up a lot of different designs, maybe lucas should visit more fastfood joints cause he got the idea of the falcon from a cheese burger he was eating 👽
