no, you were saying the last movie of a trilogy gets all the praise for the entire series, I showed it's not the truth.
Yes, ANH is better than ROTJ and compared to LOTR, SW did a LOT more for the movie-industrie. Giving LOTR 11 oscars shows that today you just need some "handsome" actors, a story that's already hugely popular but wasn't made into a movie yet and you're set
Troy and Alexander will win a lot of oscars too cause of that, y'all see
A correction concerning the soundtracks:
Howard Shore won an Oscar for LOTR:FOTR soundtrack. The academy then decided that sequels/prequels could not be nominated anymore. So, LOTR:TTT was not nominated, therefore Shore did not win the oscar for the second film. Then this year the academy gave in and recended their restriction. Thus, LOTR:ROTK was nominated and consequently won the oscar for best soundtrack.
The the soundtrack did win 2 oscars. I do believe Shore probably would of won for LOTR:TTT if he was nominated.

another thing: LotR is te first fantasy movie EVER to win Best Picture...even Star Wars didn't win
Well, LS Star Wars is more like Sci-Fi. LOTR is more like Fantasy. So even if Star Wars didn't win many awards in the past is still is one of the best triologies in Movie history.
btw-I'm so glad PJ got an award for best director! He deserves it!

waaay too overrated
I agree. I mean the movie is great and all but it is not the best movie of the year. But considering they were probably judging all 3, its ok. (they should have just waited for the whole thing to be over before they nominated it for best film)
It was the same has every year, no surprises. And some crappy choices:
M&C best cinematography (WHAT???!)

I stand corrected thenbut still I don't think the handsome actors are what did it.
Yes and no.
The movie did get a lot of fame because of the kids looking at Orli and what not.But they werent nominated.
Interesting isnt it...so good yet the acting wasnt good enough (according to the academy 😉 )
