All the people saying that "Esau, Smokey, Nemesis," guy is evil...not necessarily true. Just because Jacob is good, or supposedly so, does not equate to his rival being evil. They could both be good, like I believe, and just have difference of opinions. After all, if "Nemesis Locke," was truly evil, then why does he not want men to come to the Island and corrupt it? He's just trying to protect the island, that's all, and Jacob wants it to be out in the open and known to the world.

It could concievabley be the other way round, which would account for Jacob cooking a Red Herring..

Maybe the Red Herring is that they are both a bit evil, each disregarding the human consequence and suffering that each party to their game is afflicted with...

"Elizabeth Mitchell Will Not be Series Regular in Season 6

Update: 16:00 Thanks to RJ for this little update from E!Online.

5:38 a.m.: Someone asks McPherson more about Elizabeth Mitchell, and he says, "She's a fantastic actress and we're thrilled to be able to have her do both [Lost and V]...You'll see her on Lost, but V is her next piece."

Update: 14:00 At today's ABC Upfront Presentation they ABC Panel had this to say. "Very grateful to producers of Lost to let Elizabeth Mitchell film V pilot but "I think you will see her on Lost."

Here are the latest details about Elizabeth Mitchell and her character Juliet and if we will see her again. To be honest I think the writers left it open to see how well her new show V does, but here is Ausiello's take:

Thanks to Everyone that sent this in.

And now for some news that should surprise no one: ABC is expected to announce tomorrow that it has picked up a reboot of the camptastic '80s thriller V and that Lost heroine Elizabeth Mitchell is a full-time castmember.

Translation: She will not be returning to Lost as a series regular.

However, before you go declaring Juliet DOA from last week's detonated hydrogen bomb, I should point out that this piece of scoop comes with a big but attached: Mitchell's Lost days are not done. Multiple sources confirm that the actress is expected to appear in an unspecified number of episodes next season, so it's entirely possible Juliet survived Jughead and her absence will be explained in another way. (Check out Doc Jensen's column this Wednesday for a comprehensive Juliet theorypalooza.)"

Now it could be that shes dead and those are appearances are gonna be in Sawyer flashbacks.
Or she gets impersonated.

we'll see what happens..

i dont really want her dead

Me neither.

Ive really warmed to her as a character.

The season 5 finale was excellent, definitly better than last season's.

I'm glad that Locke has been used as the centre piece for it all. He's definitly the best character on the show.

Also, did anyone notice the expression on "Locke's" face when Ben said "...marched up here like Moses...", I liked his expression, as if to say, "That's me".

It also encouraged my username when I signed up to the forums.

There was definitely something there designed to get us thinking.

Who knows?
It may actually play out that way....
But it may just be a red herring moment.

I wonder...mhmm

Will Jack ever get the chance to say he was sorry to the real Locke?

Again could go either way.

Maybe real dead coffin Locke might hear him.

According to Miles they still hear.. cerreeeeeeeeeepy.

So do you think Hurley was talking to "Esau" pretending to be the dead castaways? That would make the island less magical to me.

Interesting. Maybe whatever's in the guitar case is something to keep Esau away from him. Jacob DID give it to him.

... and he hasn't talked to anybody since....

anybody seem the ABC House commercials?

YouTube video

"Dude!"

Jack and Susan...

Satan loves praise.

That's what it felt like to me. The finale broke out into God, Man, Gods plan for man and the devil 😂

Anyway, i just finished the season finale and i have to say that i was satisfied but i can't help but feel that something is wrong. I did kind of have a problem with how rushed everything was. I don't know why things were made to seem to dyer. I'm sure i missed a few things but why did the bomb have to be dropped into the pocket so soon? I understand that they only had a few hours to drop the bomb into the drill site after it was armed but was it so important that the bomb was dropped right away? I'm also still struggling with jacks transition from being a realist to becoming a fatalist. His motivation to blow everyone up was because he was heartbroken, i don't know, seemed a bit questionable to me. Although, it does fit very well with the metaphors of everyone else's motivations.

I guess im just wondering why, after Daniel died, they all just didn't decide to go their own ways. Without Daniel or Lockes' influences i really don't see jack finding it within himself to rely solely on faith.

I'm curious to read everyone elses' interpretations. Hopefully someone can help me with this technical question. Daniel said that Oceanic crashed because Desmond neglected to press the button. When did that happen? The only time i can remember the button not being pressed was when the bunker exploded.

Because it was at that point in time that they dug too deep and poked whatever is down there that causes the super-magnetism. Having the bomb detonate then would destroy that.

So, it had to be detonated right at the point of release? Wouldn't it be to late or pointless to detonate the bomb after the core or pocket was penetrated?

I'm just struggling with why it was so important to go through all of that trouble and rather than just going their separate ways and getting on with life. I mean, dude, Jack and crew killed a bunch of people...,a bunch of innocent people 😂

the day Desmond asked to go outside with Kelvin Inman. Kelvin refused. Desmond noticed the tear in Kelvin's suit leg, made him suspicious. He followed Kelvin outside and watched him remove his breathing aparatis. This is when Desmond realized there was nothing wrong with the air outside the hatch. He then followed Kelvin to the beach where he found his boat. He confronted Kelvin. Kelvin told him he had been fixing the boat, planning to leave the island that day leaving Des as the unwitting sucker to press the button. Des tackled him into a big rock bouncing Kelvin's head off of it, killing him.

Desmond then raced back too the Swan as fast as he could but he was too late. When he got there the clock had already turned to heiroglyphics and the system failure alarm was sounding. Des tried to enter the numbers but the prompt on the screen was gone, it simply said system failure over and over again. The entire Swan started shaking as Desmond tried entering the numbers over and over again, finally it took and the clock reset to 108.

Desmond realized it was he who brought down 815 when he saw the print out Locke had brought from the Pearl. Mr. Eko had set up shop in the Swan pushing the button. Locke wanted to stop him from pushing it. Locke and Des triggered the blast doors locking Mr. Eko out. This is when Desmond read the print out and realized he was the one that brought 815 down. He tried to push the button but Locke picked up the monitor and smashed it on the floor so the numbers could never be entered again. The clock tured to heiroglyphics and system failure occurred........Swan was getting pulled apart. Desmond went underneath, put in the failsafe key and turned it. Purple sky event........end season 2.

Beautiful, just beautiful. Thanks for giving such a vivid recollection. I can remember it perfectly now. That was really bugging me. 👆

Question: This is probably a long shot, but got any Lost scoop? --Jeff

Ausiello: Yeah, having Lost scoop in late May is about as unlikely as me combing through my old transcripts and finding an unused Damon Lindelof quote pertaining to the show's series finale. OMG, looky here: "We’ve been planning out the final season for four years now. And of all the talks we have had about the show, [reuniting all the castaways] is the subject that has come up the most. The ending was almost where we began, and we had to figure out how to get there. It's like a wedding where the reception is the part that requires the most planning and is the most fun to plan. We've exchanged our vows and I am ready to go party."

Question: Realistically, how many episodes of Lost do you think Elizabeth Mitchell will be in next year? --Derek

Ausiello: My gut is telling me we'll see her in two episodes max. But my gut has been wrong before. Oh, who am I kidding, no it hasn't.
