Solid episode. Not sure why it was advertised as giving all these answers.
The last 10 minutes are so with the assault on the temple were ****ing ridiculous and epic. Loved the ending.
Drag about Dogen's death though. I liked that Samurai bad-ass. And he whooped Sayid early on. Gotta say, I hate the man in black. He's getting Sayid on his team now too? And he's got this ****ing army or something now with the temple deserters.
I should have seen Sayid siding with MIB before he drowned Dogen. I mean, he would do anything to be with Nadia again. Man he really is evil. Which sucks, I was hoping Sayid would side with the heroes.
Gotta say, I don't think the outcome will look good for the people who side with MIB. Then again, I'm rooting for a happy ending.
Preview for Next Week's has me excited. A Ben episode is always a treat. I'm really excited for the island story, I'm actually a little annoyed the episode is divided with these flash-sideways. The island is the real excitement.
What an episode. Jesus christ. I gotta smoke a post coital cigarette after that shit.
SayidVsDogan! Claire/Locke! (before the credits) Keamey! KeameyVsSayid II...!
Sayid Vs Smokey! SayidVsDoganII (And his little Dennis-Hopper-buddy) The tense multilayed face to face with Claire/Kate, Smokey VS the entire temple..!!!
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH....!!!!!
Loved the backstory to Dogan/the baseball/his son, and that just gave more depth to the Piano recital encounter of last week.
That motiff of "Catch a little star and put it in your pocket" was at its creepiest tonight and rewatchings of the Kate episode where she sings it to Aaron off island'll seem eerier now when rewatched.
Great to see that the slower pace of the episodes til now this season were justified and had secretly belied a framework of excellence waiting for the hamnmer to fall. And fall it did.
Cracking stuff. Cant wait for next week.
As a side note, watching Locke's Brando reference on the orange peel gag on the 1st season extras, I'd bet that Terry O'Quinn was pleased to see Locke ending up tonight as an even more twisted Col.Kurtz tonight...
Is this also why "the Colonel" was Locke's name at the box factory..? 😛
Or the other way round, maybe in a perverse way UnLocke is being honest whilst Jacob (Who killed effectively killed Nadia etc) is fibbing to all and sundry.
Im still of the mind of Babylon 5.
In that it was the Vorlons Vs the Shadows and they are both maniuplating the inhabitiants of the galaxy that convene on B5....most of it plays out with it looking like the Vorlons are the beings of light and the shadows are pure evil power.
In the end it emerged that that the Vorlons were as evil at times and they were just two players playing a sick game with the universe.
Only when both sides were rejected/united against did the people inthe middle break the cycle.
I reckon that the "flash sideways" are all the post-cycle breakage consequences of events we'll see play out over the remainder of the these 10 episodes before the finale.
Last nights episode was ****ing amazing. I came into this thread before it came on, stupidly, and accidentally read about Dogen dying. But I stopped right there. Even though I knew he would die, I had no idea how...and for it to be Sayid, wow! Then the way he took down Lennon, surprised the shit out of me.
I'm wondering though, are they gone for good? Or will we learn a bit more about Dogen? They died in the fountain which has healing powers (when clean), so is there a chance they might get healed somehow?

I thought the same thing too, but considering the water does not have healing powers anymore (as seen with Dogen's hands or Sayid) it seems unlikely.
I'd really like Dogen back on the show, though his role has been fulfilled.
😮 You never made that connection before..?
Loved the Nikki/Paulo references......Miles actually went and got his millions!
Ben redeemed..............for now..!
Will Widemore's sub nuke or destroy the island...?
The bigger picture draws ever more together.
Im now definitely thinking 100% that the flash sideways arent flash sideways, but definitely what happens after the end of events in the finale.
