IDK what the people at Tolkien society are talkin' bout, it clearly states in the passage that I showed you that they can endure the sun. As for the mind control, I was talkin' about this;

classic juggernaut can not be hurt by ANY physical force, and most magical/psionic ones.
colossus will not be hurt by any of the non-magical soldiers.
professor X+jean grey (i am using the jean grey from the middle of the morrison run, just before she got phoenix-ized) would be enough psionic might to beat sauron.
and magneto is ****ing godlike.

Classic juggernaut got taken down by psylocke's psi-knife. He got Magick's sword in the eye. He got beat around a lot by psionics and magic.
Colossus gets hurt, there's only so much one man can do.
Pro X + Jean grey have got nothin' on Sauron. He's corrupted the Numenor, elves, humans, dwarves, dragons, hell, I really can't think of anyone he hasn't exerted some level of control over. Sauron is like power incarnate, the begining of FOTR shows him just bashing away enemies like it's a joke. That's even a pathetic show of his power. Without the ring, he's lost most of his power, yet still has enough to maintain his armies, the dark tower, the twin towers, corrupt Saruman, and many other dark deeds. He nearly kills people by looking at them.
Magneto will fall to Sauron's eye, like he did to Prof. X with Cerebro.
I Wouldn't say he helps remotely, he is the driving force behind the armies of Mordor... he decides when the army strikes and where and how, and its him that calls all the armies like the Haradrim and Easterlings to his aid... i guess physically he doesnt do much but its his spirit thats most potent

Humans is humans, however mutated. Frodo can carry it because hobbits are resistant to its effects.
well, looks like the xmen will need all the help they can get, there is no way they are going to defeat all those army.

20 xmen, might not be enough to stop 10 of thousands of Sauron's armies, the most that will do alot of damage are pofessor X, juggarnuart, colossus, wolverine, storm, jean, cyclops....etc, but after awhile, they will eventually get tired except juggarnuat, so they will need backup from either the alpha flight, shaman, snowbird,sasquatch, puck,guardian,vindicator. or magneto's brother hood of evil mutants, blob,magneto, mystique, quicksilver,scarletwtich, and most of all they will need the shi'ar Imperial Guard; deathbird, carise,gladiator, etc, then i can say it is possible for them to get into the sauron's tower.
