Soft ground scenario.

He could. The guy rode the shockwave of an exploding submarine on that shield. If Cyke tries to shoot the ground under Cap's field, Cap could angle the shield downward, and literally ride it into the air. Now Steve is flying upwards, at the head of a dust cloud....

Cyclops: WTF?

*Cap tosses shield*

*Cyke is knocked out*

*Cap falls to the ground and breaks an arm*

Cap: Ow....

Because you are giving him a STEALTH advantage. . . You are making Havoc unaware of Wolverine's location at the start of the fight.

You don't see a difference between putting them both in open level ground looking at each other and putting wolverine in an air duct and Havoc whereever. . .

OK, I used an extreme example. If they're fighting in the city, though, than what about traffic and pedestrians? Is Cyke going to discharge his blasts down a public avenue?

For like the fifth time. He can't see through solid objects.

And why not this?

Cyke's eyes don't work faster than Steve's. If anything, Steve's would be sharper. And we KNOW that Cap has faster reflexes.

So cyclops suddenly can't dodege the shield again?

Then he's in the hole. 🙄 Remember?

Man. This thread is rapidly increasing in pages.

Anyway. Piedmon. Com'on. Why do you keep thinking Cyclops will just CONTINUALLY SHOOT at Cap while he clearly sees his beams being blocked? God. Scott is not retarded.

He can shoot the ground (no matter the terrain), if they're inside, he can shoot the ceiling. Or a wall to reflect. Cyke has many more options here than Cap does.

If Cap throws his shield, not only will that be his stupidest feat to date, but it will be futile. Cyke will just blast it away. Then Blask Cap into oblivion.

Soft ground revisited...

Actually he couldn't blast the blasted sheild. . .

He could dodge and fire while doing it.

Cap'n can fly now? And why didn't the soft ground crumble?

Use some logic for steve's sake.

Your series of drawings don't make sense. And that's not what I was saying anyway. Cap couldn't ride the flow of Cyclops's beam, it's going AWAY from Cyclops.

What I said was, Cap could ride the shockwave if Steve shoots the ground ahead of Cyclops. It takes him straight upwards. He flings the shield down. Cyke, out of instinct, might direct his gaze towards the shield, incidentally firing on it, but that would have no effect.

No, he can't dodge the shield. I think I read somewhere that its design lets it travel at supersonic speeds, but I won't use that. It doesn't have to, in any case. Cap is too skilled a marksman, he'd give Cyclops some lead, based on the orientation of Scott's weight, where it looks like he's ABOUT to turn..... because Cap is a skilled martial artist. Reading an opponent's moves is what he does, and although he usually employs it in melee engagements, he could do it in this scenario.

It did, look at panel three. Just didn't do it in panel four because...shut up, I was hurried.

Does he need to fly to jump?

Wrong. Cyke can do nothing to alter the shield's trajectory, it wil absorb all impact. And it WILL NOT miss. Steve's fighting skill far outclasses Cyclops's.

The ground collapses, he loses balance and stumbles. Or Cap is secretly Spider-Man.

How is Steve going to fire something?

OH so scot ISS retarded. . . why not fire at Steve as soon as he starts angling the shiled down?

To cover 20 ft in a single leap yes.

To jump 20 someodd feet? yeah that's a flight move.

Because scott's a retard obviously. . .

Face it folks. Cap hiding behind his shield is nothing more than a sitting duck.

Yep Cap has no balance. Even though he is better than any olympic gold medalist, he can't balance. How could I possibly fight that logic. 🙄

When the ground under you is destroyed you tend to lose the balance you had, especially if you start to fall in. . .
