Or when you see a man crouch behind a 2.5 foot diameter shield and you're 20 ft away you could just run 5 or 10 feet to the sideways and shoot him.

Where's that? He's got pads in his gloves that retract his visor for a blast, so he doesn't have to fiddle with the controls on the side, but Cap can still react in time with that.

Why would he succenly decide to do this? why not go down and hit the ground in front of Cap'nA? turn the ground into shrapenel. . .

What's the ground made of in your imaginary scenario? Dirt and grass clods aren't going to hurt Steve a lot.

Yeah, if a solar blast of energy can't get through that shield, some shrapnel will.🙄

But you're right, it would hoever remove the ground from underneath Cap'n A. . .

How would he know to? Especially if the beam was only as wide as the sheild. . . being as absorbant as it is, he's not going to feel Cyclops moving.

Aiming at soft ground beneath a crouching man would crater the ground and cause the man to lose balance and fall.

Not if due to the angle change over the long distence causes this leaked light to strike cap'n a instead. . . or did you forget that part?

If Cap turns the shield's face downward, it won't do anything to him. All the impact will get absorbed.

Cap has other senses besides his sight, you know. He'd hear that ZARK Cyclops's beam makes. Or if the beam is silent (which one of you actually suggested..... God that's reaching...) he would hear Cyke's footsteps.

He can't see through the damn shield.

20 ft away from each other. Cap crouches. Cyke fires why? He doesn't have to do anything.

He can fire at the ground. Wait until Captain America peeks over. Run to the side and shoot Captain America.

Cyke can do a lot of tricks with his blasts, but he can't fire two at once. You already said he's firing it at the ground in front of Cap's shield.
