The contempt? Expressing your beliefs? Seems more like you were just ignoring everyone with an acceptable answer, and that pissed me off. 5 different people told you that atoms can be seen with an electron microscope, and you ignored them! Typical Christian I might add.
To tell you the truth, you don't even have to buy one.
1. Go to a science museum, they will probably have an exhibit on the atom, with electron microscopes for your veiwing pleasure.
2. Write to a local laboratory, specifically chemistry, or physics(maybe biology). Explain your reason for wanting to see an atom, and they might just give you a tour of the whole lab, answer all of your questions, let you use an electron microscope, AND give you a souvenier! What a treat.
I noticed alot of people believe religion because they are too lazy or insecure to go check things out for themselves.
