I'm just gonna spout off here for a moment.
Martial artist have been known to produce strikes which have a force in excess of 2000 psi. Batman, being a comic book character, can produce an even greater force. (Batman can channel his chi to accomplish physical task normal humans are not capable of)
Spiderman on the other hand is not trained in fighting. Often he strikes from awkward positions. A strike without Balance is only about half the strength of a strike which is in balance. Add into the factor that Spidey often strikes with only his arm (as opposed to his whole body) and that figure is 1/5 of what it can be. All of sudden Spidey's 10 ton punch doesn't seem that impressive (only an estimated 1000 psi.) This seems reasonable as many normal humans have survived his full on punches.
Fighting is in a large part the efficiency of motion. It takes a trained fighter only the a fraction of the time to dodge/block an attack of the time the attack itself takes. On the other hand, it takes a considerably longer time to recover from an attack which was off balance or conserved no motion, leaving plenty of attacking opportunities after a successful dodge or parry.
It has been said that "spidey will not be holding back." well that's quite alright seeing as he hits like a girl and the same goes for Batman, which means he finally gets to use those "touch of death" techiniqes (yes Batman is trained in a fictional martial art which allows him to do this.)
