I think that the new villien for spiderman 3 very well could be hobgoblin + Green Goblin or scorpen my reasoning for this is the hatred that JJ is goin to have towards him for stealing his sons wife on the oppisite side the fact that normen osborn infecting harrys mind could make it the other for the place of the hobgoblin its probably goin to be someone who trys to buy out oscorp thats my thoughts

HAHA I TOLDYA!!!! THOMAS CHURCH IS CHAMELEON , its PRE oficial becouse marvel studio havent confirmed, but the source is from the studio who is working for marvel, they also said GG II as harry will be in the end of the movie, almost a la darth vader.......

umm if this is the last movie then you got to do Venom and Harry.But if it's not then just do Harry and some minor dude.sandman,chameleon,hydro-man etc.
here's how I see it this is a list of villains that are possible for Spiderman 3.

Harry - Green Goblin 2 or Hobgoblin looking at how the movies went.Great choice if they do it.They could do this to finish off the saga of the first three movies.

Venom - Everybody I know wants Venom.My family and friends and I wouldn't mind it if this is the last one.He is the coolest villain by far and Spiderman's nightmare.So he is a good possibilty if you think it over.

Sandman - Very big possibilty according to how Church looks.Anyway he is an o.k. villain and I do not want him as a major villain just a minor one.

Lizard - I don't think so but you never know...

Chameleon - He is pretty cool on the shapeshifting thing and he could screw up Peter with Mary Jane.Not many good battles with him but Harry could make up for that if they were to put them in the same movie.

Well that's it. It's one of those 5 guys.My guess is it's not the Lizard so he has number

If it was me it would have been Harry Hobgoblin and Lizard but I'm not Sam and I hope he makes a good choice and dont screw things up.

There is no way they are stopping at three films. Batman made 5 even though they all suck. Superman is making a fifth movie also, why would you limit spider-man?

"A source very close to production recently dropped us a line with the following information about who is playing who in the new Spider-Man 3 film!

A source close to the production of Spider-Man 3 confirmed for me that the main villain played by Mr. Thomas Hayden Church will in fact be the Chameleon.

Church plays Dmitri Smerdyakov, who goes by false name Dr. Turner at Peter's college. The Chameleon also has a brother in this film, which will set up Kraven the Hunter for a future sequel I'm told. Le'ts just say that the Chameleon will use his powers of performance and identify theft to bridge a gap between MJ and Peter Parker in this film.

The producers and Raimi have a big publicity event right before production starts to make this announcement. Look for it after Thanksgiving, with production to start this winter. This will begin the hype for Spider-Man again. They will also start issuing a new animated DVD featuring the Chameleon right before the new movie hits theatres.

Now comes the question of "Why Chameleon and not a different villain?"

Well, if anyone has been paying attention to the pattern that has taken place involving the Spider-Man films and the video game adaptions then you will notice a very significant item. (Besides Green Goblin and Doc Ock) No character that has been featured in the games has been featured in any of the films and most certianly won't be in the near future. For instance, Black Cat was once included in the original script of Spider-Man 2 and then x'd out, then what? Black Cat was featured in the video game adaption of Spider-Man 2 and was not included in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 even after some fans' theories of this character being one of the villains.

Short list of characters that were featured in the video game adaptions:

1. Scorpion
2. Shocker
3. Mysterio
4. Black Cat
5. Vulture
6. Rhino

Characters that Thomas Hayden Church is obviosuly not going to play in Spider-Man 3:

2. Venom
3. Lizard

6. Kraven
7. Carnage
8. Kingpin
A few others....

Plus Chameleon fits very perfectly into the pattern of classic villains that Raimi has chosen thus far.

I don't know, Chameleon as a main villain? And wahts Hary going to do o i found the goblin suit let me just sit back and look at it.hell no.he would probably test it out and stuff and turn into the goblin.
About the Chameleon thing it just wouldn't be enough action without someone else I mean Harry needs to be a main villain in one of the movies at least. And right now i'd prefer this one

Rumor? I've believed this since before any site or other media even mentioned the names "Chameleon" and "Thomas Hayden Church" in the same sentence, that was a very lame attempt at lowering my credibility.

I pity you, still clinging to the belief that Church will be playing Sandman.
