If you want to talk systems guys I ownzrs all of your PC's.

Regular Space Marines and Chaos 😄

Does anybody else here collect the actual 40k armies??
I started about 8 years ago, and have over 300 models and tanks of 40k space marines and chaos marines

Yeah I've got some Daemonhunters. I'm going to get more soon I've got a friend who wants a game with me so I need to build my forces

2500 point ork army, had it for 5 years. but im thinking of selling it to pay for my car. i dont see why people cant love the orks, they are the coolest army of all of them, no qualms over "is it realistic to have the Blood Angels (the coolest of the marines) fighting the Dark Angels (the shitest of the marines), they are on the same side?", whereas with the orks you can fight anyone!

isnt this like a boardgame come to life? how does it translate into gaming? I heard someone talking about this , but I havent played it yet 😬

Supposedly it's very good. I still need to buy it.

you play with small figurenes of the armys, each representing a single soldier in the army. you can play as the human army (Imperial Guard) Geneticly Advanced Humans (Space Marines, who are broken up into diffrent chapters, each run with different special abilities and powers), the evil Space Marines (Chaos, who are broken into 4 seperate forces of evil), the good Aliens (Eldar (kind of like Space Elves with cool gun) or the Tau (really cool looking guys with big guns), the BAD ASS ALIENS (Tyranid (basicly like the aliens from Alien with modifications) Dark Eldar (like Eldar but REALLY REALLY EVIL, imagine S&M super beasts from hell) Necrons (effectivly Egyptian Terminators) or Orks (like the ones from Lord Of the Rings, but not small and punny, 12 feet tall and can bite you in half). you have Tanks and space craft for each race, all having advantages and dissadvantages respectily. The game is time consuming, but you have to think alot to win (its like chess with guns). The modles have to be constructed and painted, something many people do, not even to play with the models but simply for the pleasure of it, and so does the battlefeild. the rules seem fairly daunting at fistr, but are fairly easy to pick up. If you want to know more, grab a copy of the magazine White Dwarf. thats all i can think of

Neat.. I hope the game is simpler than the actual real life version o_O

I played the demo, it's really simple.

Ive got about 15-20'000 pts worth of models in the old (2nd edition) edition of 40k.

it is nothing even close to the board version other then the units are from the board version 😛

the resource management was built around the ideal of capturing threw battle... the more you fight the more area you own ... and the bigger your army is. you get squads but can reinforce and double the size of each and each you can equip with different weapons... like scouts start with 2 soldiers with machine guns and you can pay reasources to get additional two and equip them at you desire with flame throwers, sniper rifles or plasma rifles.... the terrain effetcs defense bonus or penalties... and morale plays a part... if it drops below a certain level the firepower and defense drops while the movement speed of the unit is doubled.... you can't just charge the enemy fron outnumbering you ten to one or the squads will break 😄 its totally different compared to any RTS i've played 😄

It's so difficult to play a full game of real 40k with the number of models i have in my space marine army, as there is not a room in my house that would be big enough for a full scale battle without the models being far too crowded. So the only thing I can do is start with 2000 points on each side and bring in 1000 points of reserves every other turn.

Have you read W40k novel "Fire Warrior" yet? Very good. Game's even better.

I'll be picking this game up today, unfortunately I heard there are only 10 missions in the single player campaign...that's so damn short.

They better offer up some free expansions in the future.

the missions rocked even though there were only a couple... cry i really wanted to fight some more cry i hope they start releasing new skirmish maps 😖 online 1v1 is sometimes very strange... there are rushes that are very interesting 😑

I just picked up the game and am installing it now. I've really enjoye the demo but have heard that there are only about 11 campaign missions, which kinda sucks.

there are only 11 missions but the gameplay is great. I recommend zooimig in on the battles to watch where 40k really excels.

the 13th Leigon book is the best of the series

whats that?
