I found this thread quite handy and useful. haven't got the game yet. I was about to today, but 3 eb game stores later they are all sold out. So I got annoyed and since I wanted a new game badly i resorted to buying Sim City (which is not bad, i would have rather have Dark Crusade)
Well from what I hear, Dark Crusade runs MUCH better then winter assault, which was laggy as hell. If you downloaded the demo, you would be able to see this right away. A massive battle in Dark Crusade was about 5 times more smoother then a battle of the same magnitude in Winter Assault. Which is good news so i figure that you probably don't have to worry to much about upgrading your comp.

From what I heard the game is a stand alone expansion meaning that you do not require the other two games. But if you want to enable the other 5 races online then you have to simply input your CD keys for the other two games into Dark Crusade(from what I hear)
I played the space marines of course as they are my favorite. I have just only really started on it but have been fighting the damn Eldar quite a bit. I have them beaten back to a corner of the map. But they just keep trying to fight back out. Sad really but besides them i have only fought the Tau and the Imperial Guard. No one else as of yet.
hmm, not bad. Well, I'm playing as the Tau right now (I'm going in order of least favorite race to most favorite race in that general order). I've already captured the Necron stronghold which wasnt really that intimidating to do until the Nightbringer came into play. (I dont play much what with the pressure of school and all). I'm making my next move to the IG since they present a real threat to my territories and to my attacking army thus far. Do you know what I could expect from them? And how are the eldar? From what I keep hearing online I hear there a real viscous ***** .
I have destroyed the Eldar. When you land at there province the Eldar have two bases but they also set a trap for you with the orks. Then after you beat the orks and the Eldar front base. Choas Marines attack as well. So you are fighting a battle on both fronts.Not sure if the AI changes with the race that is being used. After that I have been fighting with the Necrons "they don't seem that tough as of yet." Have the imperial guard all but beat back to chaos island. The imperial guard at first not that tough but they seem to get worse after a while. The big problem that i have had with them is that when you are fighting on one front with them they will attack with an equally large force from the other side and try to take your base. Still trying figure why everywhere you attack seem to have two bases when all you can have is one. I am about to either finish off the Choas which i have yet to really fight a good battle with or the IG. Orks this far have not been too tough neither. The TAU is the toughest I have had to fight yet.
