You mean recently? Because the first time they fought Nimrod, Colossus got ko'd, then she took his power while he was unconscious. If she took his power while he was metal this time, then it was a writer error since her powers haven't worked on him multiple times in the past. It was actually shown and stated on panel that her powers don't work on him while he's metal.

That was just a plot device so they could make out. I wouldn't read too much into especially since she has absorbed Colossus while he was in his steel form before that incident and since.
