You're correct. It only makes it worse when the material is specifically cut out (after being considered) or not considered to hit a lower rating to sell more tickets.

In this partcular case, I am quite sure they had to cut out many "visuals" when wolvie wakes up and goes to town on all of the scientists. A lot of things were probably not even considered since they probably were aiming for a PG-13 anyway.

No intestines falling out of someone stomach as Wolverine quickly slashes while running past them...no cut off arms...hopefully we'll at least get some stabs. That'll be nice.

I just got back from Wolverine and wow, what a mess. I would urge everyone to avoid this movie so that Fox and other movie studios may realize that it takes more than a big name and half assed SPX to make a comic film.

After watching this movie my friends and i came to the conclusion that no one involved in the writing ever read a comic. I don't know what the producers and executives were thinking. Wait, actually i know exactly what they were thinking...,SEQUELS. There are numerous Wolverine comics that could have been adapted into a stand alone movie.

The movie definitely felt like it wanted to be an R rated film and i really think it should have been. I think the PG-13 rating hurt the movie very much. I really don't think we would have seen as many liberties taken with the characters and story had the movie been rated R. This movie would have been better served if it simply copied the Weapon X graphic novel. Infact, that's what the movie should have been called...,Weapon X;Wolverine. Yeah, a R rated adaptation of Weapon X 😂 I mean, that's what everyone wants to see anyway, right?

Even though i was very disappointed with the movie i can see it entertaining a lot of people. I actually had high hopes for the movie through the first half hour. It wasn't until about an hour into the movie that things took a very bad turn. If you're looking for a faithful depiction of the comic book character wait for dvd. I really think, however, if i weren't a lifelong X-men fan and, rather, only knew the X-men and Wolverine through the movies i would have enjoyed this movie. So, for what ever that's worth. 😉

Hey, so who were all the kids that Wolverine saved? I know I saw Quicksilver...and there was a set of triplets...and Storm? maybe? Not sure

I didn't think this movie was great, but I definitely liked it. The special fx (Claws mostly) were pretty bad, but i really like how they portrayed Sabretooth's character. Sure, they massacred deadpool, but I thought FOR THE MOVIE, it worked, as long as he eventually, in the future returns to being the Deadpool we all know and love.

I thought the extra Stryker scene was just dumb...there was nothing cool about it, don't know why they had to put it in the credits. But the final scene was awesome. I am hoping Wolverine and Gambit team up in the future, they seem like a good team that could be really entertaining

cyclops is boring no matter where he is.

I think I 've seen Toad too. Quicksilver. Scott of course..
and who is the diamond skin girl?

I liked this a lot

Same here.

I think she was supposed to be Emma Frost.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a terrible film, with crummy direction and an arhythmic screenplay that includes way too many one-dimensional mutant characters, and ancient clichés like when there's a fiery explosion behind Wolverine but he doesn't seem to notice it as he is walking away. There are some cool action scenes like when Wolverine fights off a helicopter. But for every solid moment there is an equivalent of pure suck. There are TWO crane pull backs as someone shouts NOOOOOOOOO over a dead body. The whole theater laughed. Some of the effects were also cheap, for example when Wolverine is in a bathroom checking out his claws; it looked like slapped-on animation.

If you're going to make a Wolverine movie, than dammit make it an R-rated one. This is a guy whose major power is to cut people up! Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is and looks like a poor man's Clint Eastwood, who is just beholden to the unwritten Hollywood rule, which says that no hero can kill anyone in cold blood (only in self-defense, or in response to senseless acts of cruelty and violence). Sure, he can rage and howl from time to time, but he must pull back at the last second - to set a good example for the kiddies, I guess.

When the movie was over and everyone was walking out, I heard some people in the audience calling it the "worst X-Men film ever." I might just agree with them, even though it's hard to top "The Last Stand."

watched it today, and it was crap!!

Sabertooth and Logan are brothers??

does adamantium really beat adamantium??

and since when does Cyclops' eye blasts emit heat?? they don't!!

Deadpool has swords in his arms??

i don't really see how it ties in with the first X-men movie at all

Sabertooth: brothers look out for each other... unless i grow my hair, that means i'm gonna kill ya

and Wolverine lost his memories to a bullet? sure maybe Striker shot the part of his brain responsible for memories but still... lame

and judging from the after the credits scene, there might be a sequel... oh joy

i doubt they care...

this movie did not redeem X3 at all!!

i liked Deadpool in the beginning, cool sword skills and he was funny too

the Blob fight was kinda pointless, but kinda funny

and Gambit, one second he's knocked out, next thing you know he's running on rooftops getting to the place he got knocked out

Ryan Reynolds was awesome as Wade Wilson, so similar to how I imagined he would play him.

And the Gambit thing was quite perplexing, though I have to admit that Gambit was played surprisingly well. Overall, though, I don't like how he was just thrown into the movie for his name and no other reason.

apparently there's another secret ending where he picks up his head and breaks the fourth wall

and he shouldn't have had the eye blasts or sword arms, but otherwise alright

Yeah, I saw that one. The Weapon XI character was stupid, though tolerable, but the Wade Wilson character in the beginning was good.

OMG we might just agree on something, the Apocalypse must be near. 😱

Side characters aren't worth discussing, they had more lines in the trailers then they did in the movie:

This is what the 15 minutes of re-shoots must have amounted to.

I got the Japan/bar scene ending too ... what are the other ones?

I'm still wondering why Gambit stopped Logan from killing Sabretooth, because he got punched...?
