X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I don't get you. the movie wsas great. hugh jackman 😱 and that guy who played Remy 😍 however I'd prefer him to have better accent but you can't get everything you want.
still movie was fine. and I soo don't regret watching it 😊

I liked it, I was a pretty big Wolverine fan back in the day (I haven't read the new stuff) but I thought it did a pretty good job. Obviously jam packed a lot of stuff into a short bit of time but it's impossible to get it as good as the comics had it. Acting was good on most parts. I really didn't find it all that flawed, and I don't get why everyone else is. It was light years better than X-men 1-3 without a doubt. My only complaints is at the end what they did to Deadpool, he was a cool fighter but

Spoiler:
the adamantium swords coming out of his hands and optic blasts were a bit bothersome. His mouth being sewn shut was understandable since they wanted to make him disfigured and a serious villain. Other than that there were minor things, like Gambit not saying "Mon ami" I was waiting for it the whole movie.
Other than those little things I thought it was a solid movie.

I understand everyone has their own opinions, but come on.

Light years better than X-men 1 and 2? 😬

If that were the case it'd be up the with TDK.

Agreed.

I'll preface this statement by saying I haven't seen Wolverine, and am speaking of comic book movies in general.

You have the right idea. I too like to think of comic book movies as a different reality or Universe similiar to Ultimate Marvel. Furthermore, I think most people have the same mindset as evidenced with Batman and Ironman which weren't exactly perfectly true to the comics either, but most people seem to really enjoy both movies. However, if FOX is going to use the name Wolverine they do have some responsibility to stay true to the comic. Otherwise, they need to call it something else, and not run that litttle Marvel montage they do before every movie. My problem with Fox is they almost ALWAYS (save X-Men 2 which Brian Singer had to fight for) sacrifice depth and screen time for more showings which equals more money. They love to handcuff directors, sabotage scripts, and chop up editing in order to shorten a movie. IMO, FOX has no regard for quality instead opting only for quantity, and that really bugs me.

That being said, I will going into Wolverine with an open mind despite what anyone has said. Hopefully, FOX can get it right this time, at least for me...lol

completely agree.

I wish some one elses had the rights to it.

Man, did anyone else think the special effects for Wolvie experimenting with his new adamantium claws in the old couple's barn was pathetic? It looked so fake and out of touch with the rest of the film's effects.

Seriously, it was homosexual.

how does being gay have to do with something being fake or bad?

Oh and just one more complaint...

They did a terrible job at casting Emma Frost. She was meant to be a hottie more like this

And the only other disappointment was the fight scenes. I mean they were exciting and stuff, but it fell short of being overwhelming (e.g Nightcrawler in X2, Yoda vs Doku in EpII etc, which just made you say "holy sh1t!"😉.

It not 616 reality. The movies are separate from the 616 world there a differences in characters and appearances. Oh and emma was not hot when she was a kid. She had major surgeries done to her body when she was an adult.

X-men 2 was the only one that was remotely close to being as good as Wolverine. I personally didn't care for X-men at all, it had very few redeeming factors imo. X-men 3 was pretty crappy as well, but even it was better than X-men.

Heh, they were kind of...'floaty'.

saintsaucey, I didn't see

Spoiler:
Blob
die. Wolverine and Wraith left him sitting there.

I thought the Blob fight was okay. He thrashed Wolverine for a bit (which Wraith said would help loosen him up) and then headbutted him which dizzied him for a moment...at which point the fight kind of went out of him and the claws came out of Wolverine.

I liked the movie but I think I missed something when they transistioned from calling him James to suddenly calling him Logan.

Movie was a flop imo, started out good and was entertaining until after the

Spoiler:
helicopter/killing Agent Zero
scene, then it took a serious nosedive and continued to crash all the way to the end.

To be honest i actually liked the movie though there were a few flaws and errors i did not like.

Why did stryker call him "logan" all of a sudden? How come the weapon x facility scenes were 100% different than those shown in the flashbacks in x-men 2?(logans escape, he runs out a door in the x2 flashback but cuts through a wall in origins).

I just felt that the movie should have been longer, as long as either TDK or X2 for character development and so that things didn't seem so rushed...

IMHO 7/10.

You have a weird opinion of movies.

Yeah, definitely agree. From that moment on everything started making less and less sense. Even the fight scene with

Spoiler:
a Deadpool that is not even Deadpool
, though epic, was comically lame... I enjoyed it for its action content, but I agree with the above.

I enjoyed it for the scenes without shirt 😱

and IMO there was to little of Gambit. and the accent. 🙁

Yup.

I was hoping for a shootout between Zero and Wolverine, no such luck.

.....

facepalm

worst movie i've seen in years, might actually make my top 10 worst movies of all time. Everything was awful; the actors (expect Liev who was good pluss hugh and danny huston who were decent) the plot, the cgi and the action. The plot was rushed and didn't make any sense, shit just happened without any explanation. The cgi was fvcking terrible (the scene where agent zero jumps in the chopper, wolverine destroying the ladder etc.) and the characters were all dull and had no personality. i give this movie a 2/10

I'm another one that enjoyed this movie sure it has some flaws only thing

Agreed, i was expecting the starting bit to be a bit more like the Origin Comic a big full blown period piece and then get to the next part.....

7.5/10 from me

i'm gonna see it today. some friends of mine saw it and they said the movie was good, to them.

I honestly can't wait to see it. It's the summer blockbuster i've been looking foward to see the most outta all the one coming out. Ever since they mentioned the movie a couple of years ago. And I remember even way before that, like in the late 90's, I remember telling my cousins that someone should make a wolvrine movie. And here I am, hours away from seeing a wolverine movie.

I foresee wolverine grossing $80mil this weekend, give or take $5mil.
