X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Yikes.

I saw this film Thursday night.
I actually liked it quite a bit. I agree that it has it's flaws, but I don't find the criticisms all that deserving.

I can understand how hard it is to watch these films without basing your opinions on them purely off of comparisons to their comic book source material, but at the end of the day from the perspective of it as a movie and not a comic book, it was pretty damned good.

The only problem for me there was the ending, which felt... I dunno, a bit TOO inconclusive for a Wolverine film. It should have left off with a barfight or something typically Wolverine instead of him amnesic and on the run again with a large sky panout.

I think this movie gets WAYYYY too much criticism for the Deadpool treatment. Wade Wilson's short sequence at the beginning of the movie was funny, badass, perfect.

At the end; the changeup wasn't him, but then again, it isn't a Deadpool movie.

Now I agree, if he isn't "fixed" for his spin-off, then Marvel/Fox fails, however for this film it was fine.

lmao at Wolverine chopping the ladder

That was almost as high quality as him accidentally cutting the old folk's sink apart.

Oh yeah, that was ridiculous as was the CGI in the bathroom scene...

Seriously, they couldn't have done something more practical?

Shit, I mean metalics are some of the few things that are a sure bet to look realistic using computer graphics... howdid they f that up?

You have a weird opinion of movies.

Well I'm not here to argue how good the x-men movies were with a bunch of people who constantly occupy the x-men forums, but I've gotta ask how you can criticize my opinion of movies and not criticize this.

worst movie i've seen in years, might actually make my top 10 worst movies of all time. Everything was awful; the actors (expect Liev who was good pluss hugh and danny huston who were decent) the plot, the cgi and the action. The plot was rushed and didn't make any sense, shit just happened without any explanation. The cgi was fvcking terrible (the scene where agent zero jumps in the chopper, wolverine destroying the ladder etc.) and the characters were all dull and had no personality. i give this movie a 2/10

Even the sink part was better than the ladder, that part ruined the gambit/wolverine fight. Also didn't get how Gambit's staff did nothing to Wolverine while a card was able to send him through a wall.

i occupy the x-men forums all the time, and i hate em... bermm

I just saw this and I must say.... I loved it from start to finish.. I found Deadpool to be witty and good... Remy was well casted as was Silver Fox..Danny Huston portrayed Stryker very well.. Hugh once again played James/Logan/Wolverine very well.. The story was good and the action awesome.. The only thing I didn't like was I wanted the secret ending to be of Logan in Japan , all in all 👆 👆 👆 👆 👆 👆

I cannot wait until the sequel

cus he has taste in movies? i'd go with that.

Just got back from watching the movie, and I must say I liked it ALOT. I can understand all the criticism, but it was a fun movie. It leads into X-Men pretty well. I liked the characters.... I liked the whole thing. Very good movie.

Or alternatively, his standards for movies are just too high, like yours arguably.

Yeah. I can agree that X-Men Origins: Wolverine is pretty bad in some of its own regards, but it being one of the top 10 worst movies of all time? Come on. 😆 It's not quite Batman & Robin level of quality we're talking about here.

Save your money. If you're a fan of the comics you will not like this POS

It's far from my top 10 worst movies.

But it's still relatively weak. It's also funny how you can notice a distinct drop in quality just as Wolverine agrees to get his adamantium. I wonder if it's a commentary on how Wolverine was more badass without his adamantium 😆

The film was ALOT better than the bits I saw on the leak. 7/10. Post later.

Or I have no obligation to respond to every post, yea, that's probably it.

Because I didn't want to?

LoL, I've seen a lot of movies and I can definitely think of 10 that are worse, but I hear ya.

I laughed when

Spoiler:
Gambit suddenly is running on the rooftops and attacks Wolverine and Sabretooth
,why in the **** would he go to the roofs when he was already right behind them when we awoke from the KO? Why did he jump in and attack when Sabretooth was already his enemy?

Agreed, and yeah. I've been kinda wondering 'bout that too. 😂 That there (along with some other things wrong with the film) pretty much puts it either below or on the same level as X3: The Last Stand 😘, IMO.

So i finally seen "X-men Origins: Wolverine" and i liked it.

I enjoyed it better than i enjoyed "The Dark Knight". Wolverine was the funniest dude in the movie really, to me.

Loved Sabertooth. The baddest mofo in the movie. I liked Deadpool but i wished he had more on-screen time. Gambit was cool. Wolvies' girl was crazy cute. Cyclops was weak/pathetic, as usual. The Blob effects were great. A mixture of cgi and a suit. I thought I seen Storm and Toad.

I like the story. Learned more than I knew about Wolverine. The ending seemed to inconclusive. It looked like an episodic tv show ending right after wolverine discovered his lady he didn't recognized.

And i don't get making a sequel. Doesn't this take place like less than 10 years before Xmen pt.1

I especially loved the opening credit graphics. kinda had that street fighter 4 look but duller color-wise (the cuts in the sequences were especially sick where it went from one thing to another like one war to another war in a seamless fashion)

For some reason i expected Wolverine top be a bit more vicious than how he was. Like in pt. 2 he was just full of rage and emotion. (example there was a part in pt.2 where he just finished killing an invading special ops soldier that broke in to the X-school and after he pulled his claws outta the guy he was breathing frantically with the saliva coming in and out of his clenched teeth. Looking like just an animal, man.)

That Deadpool vS Wolverine/Sabertooth fight was stupid sick.

8/10

Worst movie? You must never have watched AVPR then.

There must be a lot of bad/worse movies he hasn't seen for that matter. 😕
