Homosexuality: Chosen or Genetic?

Yes, and they also ignore thoughts found in the Bible.

Which leads back somewhat to the topic of this thread. The verses in the Bible that condemn homosexuality are very few when compared to stuff like "stone adulterers". So why do the religious care so much about gays yet ignore all the other "sinners"?

Because when people have something negative to say about homosexuality or make exceptions to rights concerning homosexuality, they usually hide behind their religion as the reason, instead of just saying the truth, which is "I hate ****."

Adultery is pretty much a lost cause.

I think mostly are genetic and some are chosen.....

Unless you're running for, or have already achieved, public office.

...and are a republican

Republicans don't commit adultery. They just have an unusually wide bathroom stance.

😆

hmmm...I wonder what you are talking about?... 😆

YouTube video

I loved the "blame mother" aspect of that, so like a gay guy; I don't mean that as an insult.

Pretty interesting video. I was unaware of the facts about identical twins and birth order.

I didn't know that thing about twins either.

There was a 60 minutes report that aired a number of times; when I talked to my mother about it, she said she wondered why it took so long for the science to come around to blaming the mothers. (My mother is very sarcastic) Of course, in her typical republican way, she totally ignored the lack of finger-pointing, blame placing in teh study/report.

She still doesn't convey the fact that I'm gay to her friends and co-workers when asked if I've found the woman I'm going to settle down with and have babies. If I could wager a bet, I'd be willing to guess she still doesn't defend gay people when it comes up in casual conversation, despite her child being one.

It's them damn Republicunts!

Also, Freud's theories are way more fun than real psychology.

They're the only ones who seem to be affraid of it, at least casually. We could list the hypocrits that demonstrate that, if you'd like; my mother being on of them.

Your post seemed full of spite or acrimony or what have you, against your mother. She's not all that bad, is she? If so, damn bro. I don't know what I would do without my mother backing me up, even when she thought I was wrong.

Good video.

Nope, no spite. I just wish she was more comfortable with who i am, which she is in private and around family, but she doesn't know how to address the reality of the situation when she's around others. She's affraid. That's human. i would imagine it's the same thing that keeps you from trying out being gay, when you think it's so easy to choose to be such.

Do you want to get personal? Maybe your girlfriend or your mother or your child?

Hmmm... interesting... it's genetic then? 😉

Not her point.

I'm amazed the point passed you by.

It didn't, I just saw a certain parrallel in method of 'debating' about stuff.
