Which it isn't.

WHy must we hate and disapprove of people who are different? It makes zero sence

No, an explanation shouldn't be needed. And sadly, people tend to hate or disapprove of what they don't understand 😬

or what's even worse, when people hate or disaprove what they think the understand, when in reality, they have no clue.

Yeah no kidding...

God has ordered killings plenty of times. Remember what happened to the first-born children in Egypt? And YOU are against abortion – but think it’s okay for God to kill all those innocent babies?? (Exodus Chapter 12)

I actually asked my Theology teacher about this. He said "Yes, it's ok for God to kill because he is God." 😆

To disapprove, not like, think it's nasty, doesn't necessarily mean you HATE it, thats a strong word, You can dislike, disapprove of the way a person lives their life, but still LOVE them.

I agree Fiery Eyes. You don't have to agree with how they live or what they do, you just have to accept it.

Exactly.

My mother and father would love me as a son regardless of where my sexuality resided. It would be a shock to them but at the end of it all, you get one life and you should be able to live it how you want to as long as you don't let it wrecklessly effect everyone elses.

That makes perfect sense, but I still don't see how it has any relevance to your saying it's a result of trauma 😬
i'm not saying it is a result of trauma.
i'm saying that it can be caused by one 😬

Tpt> Exactly! We’re all different. Why hate or disapprove of people who do us no harm?
It’s senseless.
“Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” – Voltaire.

Look at history. This is very true indeed.

Arachnoidfreak> You’re kidding!!! So God does not obey God’s own law. HmmmmMM.

I LOVE that quote, It's just so applicable!
Is on my list of favorite quotes, along with a heatly dose of RATM.

Omega: No, I'm not kidding! It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. He said "He would not be God if he was held down by human law". I said "What? It's not human law, it's HIS law!. Even if he isn't held down by his own law, he's proven himself to be a horrible role model." He hasn't responded to me yet. I suspect he will bring up something about Jesus. 😆

Omega -- I love that quote, it's very true ✅

Arachnoidfreak -- ...ridiculous doesn't even begin to cover that 😂

These sorts of questions are a matter of belief. Rarely can a person get their mind around an infinite concept, and even then it’s only insanity filling in the gaps. These matters are best avoided by citing evidence rather than mockery. It's rather stupid to try to get into a position where neither can say anything meaningful because the concepts have foreign meanings from one to the other. If God created us, knows how we work, and knows best how to continue the world, then he could morally kill somebody to protect society. Like justice can, In America.

Of course, to protect society. Killing the first born child and calf of every Egyptian is protecting society, isn't it? Flooding the earth and killing nearly everything on the planet is protecting society...right? Burning an entire city to the ground, and turning a woman into a pillar of salt surely HAS to be protecting society.

The American justice system is ****ed up... Capitol punishment in the United States is not administered fairly. Texas alone executes more people illegally that any other industrialized country (minors, retarded people, foreign nationals without contact with their foriegn consul, etc).

Killing people in America does not protect society.

Texas executes minors? Or do you mean they give minors the death sentence and then execute them afterwards?

It is illegal in international law to execute anyone under the age of 18, the state of Texas often tries minors as adults and gives them death sentences.

Wow... that's ****ed up. They try kids as adults sometimes here in Florida too. This kid at my school (Nathaniel Brazil if you heard about it) shot his teacher point blank range and they tried him as an adult, but he only got 2nd degree manslaughter and the sentence was 25 years with parole.

Technically under international law any death penalty is illegal.

I still don't get "It's ok for God to kill coz he is God."

Didn't he give Moses the 10 Commandments, one of which were thou shalt not kill?
