this is George Bush we're talking about people.

That isn't some "fact giving box" or form of information passer. The guy probably just put on the blazed without taking off the damn coat hanger.

You seriously give him entirely too much credit.

😆

I didnt see the debate but from what I gather it was dominated by the war in iraq? doesnt that piss you off that they're so concerned about whats going on in iraq that theyve forgotten whats going on in their own country?

well, the first debate was on foreign policy, so domestic issues were not on the table.

o ok. lol silly me

however, the VP debate, an all-issues debate, did revolve alot around the iraq issue. but DICK cheney is a war profiteer, so i much enjoyed seeing him under pressure on that issue.

I dunno...is it possible for a retard to lie?

YES!

One of the biggest things that stuck out while watching debate number 2 besides how angry Bush seemed to be was this question...

----
GRABEL: President Bush, during the last four years, you have made thousands of decisions that have affected millions of lives. Please give three instances in which you came to realize you had made a wrong decision, and what you did to correct it. Thank you.

BUSH: I have made a lot of decisions, and some of them little, like appointments to boards you never heard of, and some of them big.

And in a war, there's a lot of -- there's a lot of tactical decisions that historians will look back and say: He shouldn't have done that. He shouldn't have made that decision. And I'll take responsibility for them. I'm human.

But on the big questions, about whether or not we should have gone into Afghanistan, the big question about whether we should have removed somebody in Iraq, I'll stand by those decisions, because I think they're right.

BUSH: That's really what you're -- when they ask about the mistakes, that's what they're talking about. They're trying to say, "Did you make a mistake going into Iraq?" And the answer is, "Absolutely not." It was the right decision.

The Duelfer report confirmed that decision today, because what Saddam Hussein was doing was trying to get rid of sanctions so he could reconstitute a weapons program. And the biggest threat facing America is terrorists with weapons of mass destruction.

We knew he hated us. We knew he'd been -- invaded other countries. We knew he tortured his own people.

On the tax cut, it's a big decision. I did the right decision. Our recession was one of the shallowest in modern history.

Now, you asked what mistakes. I made some mistakes in appointing people, but I'm not going to name them. I don't want to hurt their feelings on national TV.

(LAUGHTER)

BUSH: But history will look back, and I'm fully prepared to accept any mistakes that history judges to my administration, because the president makes the decisions, the president has to take the responsibility.
-----

He had a chance to look human and admit any mistake but like Bush always does he goes around the question by talking about Iraq. That wasn't the question. Did you make any mistakes over the last 4 years?

Didn't The Duelfer report also say that there were no WMD and that he hasn't had them since 1991? Hmmm. Kinda dangerous to be bringing up a report that basically said the reasons for invading Iraq weren't real.

He would never admit that though. Maybe we rushed it just a bit Mr. President? Nah, because I don't make any big mistakes... sigh.

On a positive note there seem to be more Kerry signs in front of houses in my town. Bush seemed to be leading in the sign war until a week ago. Now Kerry leads. Go Kerry!

In politics even making a policy change is a sign of weakness, let alone admitting mistakes! It's a harsh world indeed...

Grrr, I didnt see the presedential debate. I dont even think they were showing it in the UK.

It's downloadable on all sorts of P2P's.

lil bitchiness, if you can, get the second debate as well. its pretty damn funny. bush gets angry and yells 😂

no they didnt - well not on any of the channels I have.... They only showed bits of it on the news nd those were only the main bits about iraq.

If he says he feels he did the right thing...then what exactly are you expecting him to "admit"???

A report made 18 months after the war on Iraq started proofs "SO FAR" that their are no WMD in Iraq. That report also makes no mention of the whole squadron of planes that were found BURRIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE IRAQI desert.

Much like finding Saddam in a 5 foot hole in the ground.....would you expect finding WMD to be easy? Would you be able to hide something the size of a car inside the state of Texas? I would think so...

He said he'll take responsibility for whatever historians deem to be a mistake.

Though I do agree he did not mention anything about the timing involved in the invasion. he did say he would take responsiblity for his actions.

And Bush got pissed because 75-85% of the "facts" that come from Kerry are not accurate. The majority of them are inflated to make the President seem worst than he actually is.

For a guy who should clearly win this Election....John Kerry doesn't impress me. You'd think he could just state actual facts, and that alone would be enough to do Bush in...but instead he's got to exaggerate almost every number. Bush does the same...but he's already considered a crappy president. Now the new guy is already starting his term by lying to the American people.

Kerry is far from an honest guy. People are just so ready to get rid of Bush that they don't want to see another bad president on the rising.
