Are the rumors true....about a new tool cd

Just picked it up, about halfway through it so far. Very very good, of course. Really enjoying it.

What made it even better is I was eating Taco Bell during the first few songs. Tool + Taco Bell = Heaven.

Arf

Yay for Radiohead.

Anyway, I got to listen to the New Tool CD at school today. I turned one of my instructors into a Tool nut! Anyway, I think Adam Jones just keeps getting better and better. I think this is the best work he's done so far (that I've heard)

For some reason the "Tool + Taco Bell" bit really amused me 😂

Just finished it for the first time, it was excellent. It exceeded all my expectations but it's not as good as Lateralus.

My favorite song has to be The Pot. Rosetta Stoned and Jambi tie in second place.

Perhaps the thread title should now be changed to "10,000 Days"?

But I just heard rumours on a new Tool cd.

Probably false though...

😕

I can guarantee, more or less, that everyone here didn't have the opinion of Lateralus in 2001, that they do now (if they were even into Tool then). So I don't get why there's all this judging going on not even a week after it's release.

So, people can't say they enjoyed it on first listen?

I agree with Alpha on this one very much.

I got the cd two days ago and have been listening to it nonstop.
it is absolutely amamzing, kinda like an auditory orgasm

Who said that? Because it wasn't me.

You seem to have a habit of skimming a post and then asking a vaguely related, hyperbolic question.

Let's see to it that it doesn't happen again please.

You didn't literally say it, but it can be interpreted that way, hence the question.

What's the lesson to be learned from this quote? Not to misinterpret things.

Read what I LITERALLY said. Don't read between the lines, read the actual lines that are infront of you.

I guess Tool is getting to my head.

Bardock said pretty much the same thing, our argument ended in "You're not a real music lover."
I form an opinion on things like movies or albums pretty fast and it doesn't usually change.

Everytime I make a comment I have to keep sending people back to read it.

"More or less". Aka allowing for exceptions.

If you like Lateralus as much now and for the exact same reasons, as you did then, fine. I'm just making the comment that a week into its release I don't think it's fair to say it's not better, definitely, than an album that has been out 5 years.

Ok, as a huge tool fan it is kind of embarrassing that i only just now bought the album (it should have been the first day) but the finance didnt allow.

Im yet to listen to it, and im so excited. The CD cover and art are AMAZING beyond explanation.

Yes, the album art was well worth the price. Anyways, it doesn't bother me a hell of a lot people are comparing Laterallus, and 10,000 Days, because they are comparable albums. But I don't think judgement should be reached yet, I guess I just wish people'd give it more time. I only got through the album once myself so far, because mine hasn't come in the mail, I locked myself in a friend's room and listened to their copy. The first thing I heard someone say about it, and I seem to think so too, is it seems like it's from the point of view of someone who just finished listening to Laterallus and is telling the world what they learned. I need to listen to the album again though...

I said this. Yet everyone seems to just get things out of my post that aren't there.

hmm, I was just adding I guess. Making my own statement. Sorry if it felt out of line.
