Why do they give rock a bad name?

You look at all the great bands that arent well known, Finch, Eighteen Visions, Atreyu, and then you look at Simple Plan, and you wonder why the hell they (S.P.) are still playing. Unfortunatly, bands like Simple Plan and Good Charlotte are the face of modern rock, when there are ten times better bands out there getting no exposure at all. Its amazing. People think that just cause everyone has heard of a band that they are good.....When in reality they suck, and most teens think just 'cause they sing about heartbreak and how much life sucks, that they can relate. Most of those bands just write about what they know will sell records....

Simple Plan and Good Charlotte are useful for one thing--keeping idiots out of good music. I don't give a shit whether anybody's heard of the bands I listen to. The way I see it, the shithead teenagers you see on TRL will listen to whatever's on MTV. If Rammstein became the biggest band in the world tomorrow, the teeny-boppers would be listening to them. So, better for them to listen to shallow crap (it suits most of them quite well) than to listen to good music but not understand a word of the lyrics, much less care...

Ok, insulting Simple Plan is one thing...but insulting Good Charlotte as well? That is just retarded. What bands do you 'Simple Plan haters' listen to anyways??? I would really like to know who you guys prefer over them. How do they give rock a bad name? They didn't even classify themselves as rock. Everybody else has put them in the groups their in. Simple Plan could care less what group they were in. They just care about the fact that they are fulfilling their dream of becoming a band and entertaining their peers and fans. I wish some other people would help back me up, because I know TONS of people who love Simple Plan and their music, others just notice the image that the press and paparazzi has made for them. You guys really need to look a little closer at Simple Plan before you ridicule them...seriously.

Man you guys are a bunch of dinks. Why do you have to come and make fun of people we like. Are you so obsessed with making other people mad because you have nothing better to do. Seriously there is nothing wrong with them. Some people like them and some dont. You dont see everyone gettin all huffy and goin and yelling at you guys about ur bands. NO some people have common sense to let people listen to what they choose to and not critize them for it maybe you guys should take a look at urselves and see what is wrong with ur lives. Because people with interesting lives wouldnt be here bitching about people they dont listen to. And another thing is that your voice is an instrument and you have to know how to use it properly. And if someone uses it through their nasal passage, it means the song is supposed to be sang like that. I should know...I've taken singing lesson!!!!!!!

Ok, tell me what you think is 'real music'. And use some real stuff, they don't sing about how daddy was mean to them...that's jst retarded...
