are you sure you're not thinking of bush's missing military record?
you know the specific records which document the days in which he aledgedly went AWOL...records which were 'coincidentally' misplaced.as far as teresa's 1993 tax statement, first i've heard of this...
and as far as swiftboat adds equal to moore films. NO F'N COMPARRISON.
sinclair is forcing all its stations to air the swiftboat adds, as well as blocking democrat adds. people under their territory have no choice but to eat righty propaganda, whether they are watching cnn, fox, comedy central, sci fi chanel, history chanel, a&e, whatever...poeple have a choice as to whether or not to see f-911

did you ignore the facts about sinclair?
did you see f-911? i dont think so.
know why? because you had a CHOICE.
there is no comaparrison, reread my post.
and when did kerry ever endorse michael moore?
moore wasnt even invited to the DNC.
Fox news playes just as many kerry ads as they do bush ads. And senclair is an independent organization bush has nothing to do with them. I didnt say JK endorsed Moore he was trying to have the swifty ads removed from TV. Bush did not endorse the Swifties.
Look PVS I value you as a friend so I'm going back to the Episode III forum If you want I will meet you there. I don't want to argue with you about politics.
i admit to being passionatly against bush.
i spent 6 months out of college on my ass thanks to
a shit economy which he refuses to admit he helped create.
reganomics=defecit=recession=no jobs.
under bush, the largest surplus in american history was
turned into the largest defecit.
i still have to go day to day, week to week praying that
i dont lose the shit job i have now, when just a year before i graduated,
people with half my talent and drive were waltzing out in their cap and gown and landing really descent jobs, instantly...they couldnt give them away fast enough.
everyone bags on clinton, but i dont think he did such a bad job. sure he was a womanising snake, but it never affected me directly, it was just a media fiasco. the past four years have affected me greatly, and sure 9-11 and a looming stall in the economy is also to blame, but nothing was done to stop it, only accelerate it, and worsen it ten-fold.
but yeah, we can keep the debating in star wars, no prob.
i really dont have anything personal against you, but as for bush...
thats another story. thats why i thwart the right so viciously.
I hate them both but I hate Bush more. But I think he is going to win this election. I don't know why, just seems like he is. I really dislike Kerry too. He just seems like a bunch of talk to me. He is always saying he has a plan to do this and that but it always just sounds like hype to get votes. Kerry spends a half hour saying nothing while Bush just stutters out a lie. But Bush is terrible. I never really liked him, but after the the war in Iraq I feel like he should be put in jail. The only argument they ever seem to bring up (besides 9/11) is "Do you think Saddam Hussein should still be in power?" Not that I'm saying Saddam Hussein is a good leader, but it shouldn't have been our main concern to take him out. I just had to get all that crap off my chest... none of my friends ever want to talk about politics.
But I would go for Kerry because of a two main reasons. Bush didn't win the election fairly, and he took us into a war that I didn't agree with. I also saw on Fahrenheit 9/11 that he had ties to the Bin Laden family and that he was given a document before 9/11 that said "Osama Bin Laden determined to attack inside US soil." But I don't know how much of that crap I can really believe, Michael Moore has a way of twisting facts that I don't quite trust.
michael moore is certainly biased in the way he puts forth some of the info and makes connections, but the terror alert document was recieved far before 9-11 and they ignored it. the document even described the plan to fly jets into skyscrapers, and it was pushed aside. the bin laden family has mucho dinero invested in this country and bush has done much business with them. osama is more of the 'black sheep' of the family, but bush never bothered to question his family.
now, if a relative of yours murdered but ONE person, you would probably be asked to answer some questions by the authorities,
and rightfully so. instead, bush flew all the bin ladens out of america
and never bothered to have them questioned..."hey, would you happen to know where your insane brother is hiding? any idea at all?"
nope.
and the election was not won fairly. these are not figments of moore's imagination, these are facts. it was found out that gore in fact won the popular vote. had a recount been made, we would have no dubya.
Poor Che 🙁
I don't understand what people have against Michael Moore. Well DUH he's biased! Tell me something I don't know! That's the whole point, so saying "well he's a good filmmaker but he's too biased" is retarded. It wouldn't be a Mike Moore film if it wasn't biased. That's like getting pissed at Rush Limbaugh for having a conservative bias on his show... Don't like it, don't listen to it. What's even worse is how everybody thinks it's so terrible that he was giving a speech about his political views at the Oscars, when that was exactly what they gave him the award for. Just because he makes documentaries does not mean that he is presenting every shred of information as fact.
Just to put things in perspective I received an email from a sister-in-law trying to convince me to not vote for Kerry. They are voting for Bush for religious reasons. Anyway here is a quote from her email...
---
Think about what he is saying. Especially the last line, "Reclaim our country from the church goers and uneducated conservative masses" Wow!!!!!!!! He was at the viewing of Reagan's body in California when he made this statement.
---
It was an email that was taken from a site that is a Kerry parody at...
http://www.kerrycore.com/press_04_06_09.htm
Someone took part of it and sent it as an email. They left out all the parts that showed it was a parody like the last line...
---
Upon his return from the library, Kerry commented, "I was told this would be open casket. How are we supposed to know he's really in there ...Somebody find me a potty!"
---
I find it amazing that people fall for this stuff and believe it without checking it. Wait, not amazing I find it sad! It took a quick google to disprove it. Just because it is written doesn't mean it is fact! Silly rabbits Trix are for kids!
The day you convice me that Kerry said 'somebody find me a potty!' is the day I'll believe that Fox News is not 85% Republican.
I didn't say Moore's films should be dismissed because they are biased, I am just saying that he has a way of twisting facts to make Bush look even worse than he is (hard as that may sound), and so I am cautious about believing everything his films say. He does bring some good facts to the table, but they are often exaggerated to get his point across. I understand part of it was satire as well. That's all I'm saying. I think everyone should at least watch F9/11, I think is ignorant that some people already have an opinion on it but haven't even taken the time to watch it (both good and bad opinions). But my teacher told me about Bush flying the Bin Ladens out of America before that movie ever came out so I believe that's 100% true. Sorry for getting off topic.
I really don't know much about Nadar except that he's a consumer advocate, but I just wanted to ask to anyone who is voting for him: Do you think he would know what to do if he was elected president this upcoming election? Hypothetically of course. Just wondering, because a lot of people say they are voting Nadar, but would Nadar know how to run the country during vital events like the war in Iraq? I'm not saying he wouldn't, I'm just wondering cause I don't really know anything about the guy.

Well, I watched F-911 and I really enjoyed it. You just need to understand before you watch/read any of his work that not all of it is 100% true. There is some truth to almost all of it, but you are very right that he knows how to twist stuff around so that it sounds different than it should probably be interpreted.
I actually really like Nader's political views, but I also doubt he would be able to do a good job as a president. Especially a wartime one. Doesn't have enough experience.
i dont understand why righties refuse to watch 9-11.
if its such a 'pack of lies' as limbaugh put it, then see for yourself.
afraid of being corrupted by communist propaganda? 😛
just watch the damn thing before you dismiss it, or you are just regurgitating the opinions of others. watch it, and if you hate it, then formulate your OWN opinion as to WHY you hate it. point out the lies, see through the bias, and do your side credit. LOOK,THINK,DEDUCT.
